Bethany Beach, DE is one of the "Quiet Resorts" that is between north to Fenwick Island and South Bethany.

Bethany Beach has been a very popular summer tourist destination. Bethany Beach’s year-round population is only 350 residents compared to the 40,000 visitors every summer.

The 33th Annual Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011. Hundreds of artisans and crafters will be lined up along the boardwalk. It is presented by the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce. Watercolor Paintings, Pottery, Jewelry and Photography are among the many items for sale.

The artists will display their wares along the boardwalk and the adjacent streets on Saturday, September 10 from 10AM through 5PM. Admission is free. A silent auction and live entertainment will also be available. Call 302.539.2100 for more information.

Make A Wish Triathlon, September 24, Bethany Beach, Delaware

The 28th Annual Make A Wish Triathlon will be held on September 24, 2011 at Sea Colony in Bethany Beach, Delaware. The event is open to 1000 participants. The triathlon consists of a 1.5 mile ocean swim, 41K bike and 10K run. This event can be done as individuals or relay teams. There is also an option to complete a AquaVelo; for swim and bike only.

Registration is $150 which entitles the particpants to a T shirt, goody bag and entrance to the post race picnic. The Make A Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Bethany Beach Delaware Fourth of July Parade 2011

The Bethany Beach 4th of July Parade Committee is in the process of planning for its 28th Event. The theme of this year’s

parade is “THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION”. In this regard, we are also honoring the STATE OF DELAWARE, SINCE

DELAWARE WAS THE FIRST STATE TO RATIFY THE CONSTITUTION.

Artist, Jennifer E. Carter of Bethany Beach is in the process of designing the T-shirt depicting this theme. Pertinent Parade information is as follows: . Registration for floats, bikes and walkers is from 9AM to 11:30AM on Monday July 4th. No preregistration. The parade will step-off on Monday, July 4th starting at 12:00 noon. .

The 23 annual horseshoe throwing contest will be held at the conclusion of the parade located on the South West corner of the Christian Church Grounds.

The second annual Blue Berry Pie Eating contest will be held at the conclusion of the parade adjacent to the Christian Church Building. Children and adults ages 5-80 are invited to participate. Pre registration will be available at “RUTHIE’S BETHANY BEACH BAKERY”, 115 Garfield Parkway. . Presentation of awards will be on the Bethany Beach Bandstand at 7:15 PM. . Band concert at 7:30 PM. . The Fireworks display (sponsored in part by M &T Bank) will be on Monday, July 4th at dusk.

Well, it is Christmas Eve, no one to call, no one to tour, everyone is out finding last minute presents, and I am here on the computer. What am I doing. Did I not work hard enough during the 358 days of the year? I would tell you I didn't, but my wife would tell you I did.

I am not happy resting or relaxing, I get a guilty feeling that I should be doing something to be better at my job. The morning was spent listeing to Tony Robbins, which always motivates me. But all the web sites related to real estate business are closed for the holidays, and I have plenty of unaswered questions still.

So I turned to AR to write about it, since I will never know all there is to know, but that won't stop me from trying to know it!

On a day like today, when everyone is shopping, I am still learing, trying to become the area expert! And although I know I should be relaxing, I just can't because I am thinking of ways to improve in 2011!! So do as I say, and not as I do, Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
