Bridgeville, DE has a population of 1,436 located by Route 13 and Route 404. Bridgeville was settled in 1684 as Attawattacoquin on land from Charles Calvert III, Lord Baron of Baltimore. It was named Bridge Branch before officially becoming Bridgeville in 1871. The town was incorporated in 1938. Bridgeville is home to the annual Apple-Scrapple Festival the second week of October and is very big turn out from locals and visitors from the major cities of Washington DC, Baltimore and Philadelphia.

Bridgeville's Fifth Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held on October 14 at Heritage Shores Club in Bridgeville, Delaware. The scramble format will begin at 9AM with breakfast and registration starting at 8AM. Lunch and awards will follow the tournament.

Three groups will benefit from the proceeds from the event; Bridgeville Kiwanis Foundation, Bridgeville Lions Club and the Bridgeville Senior Center. Hole sponsorships are $150 each.
