Have you have ever had a customer from out of town & is looking for a house in your area say "so what's there to do around here"? Of course, most of us have. Well in my area most of the time you say go to the beach, or drive out of town to do something, because well, Delaware is small & rather low key! Other than tax free shopping, there are no amusement parks, no huge malls, no baseball or football teams, etc. Nothing really jump out of seat exciting to do in the State of Delaware

There is this one thing that a lot of people don't know about, that is good for the whole family & a lot of fun too!! The best part about it is that it is RIGHT here in Milford Delaware.

First State BMX, is a local track in Milford Delaware for bicycle riders. During the season we ride on Saturday nights, and during the summer we usually ride on Tuesday nights as well! There are people of all ages who come out and participate, and everyone enjoys it!

This year First State BMX is going to host a National as well as a UCI Continental Race (Qualifying Race for the Worlds event). This will take place on June 12-14 of this year, with the UCI race on Saturday. The track is really excited about this & so are all the kids. These UCI races & ABA events are going to be on NBC Universal Sports channels, which will give all of us riders a chance to get major exposure!

I've been riding there since I was a kid, & it really is a great place to go to! If you are ever in this area, come and check out First State BMX!

If I could only go out to eat at one restaurant again, I would probably pick this place. I absolutely LOVED it! The location is great, the atmosphere is even better, the service was top notch, but the food is what really did me in!

Georgia House is located right in Downtown Milford Delaware, on Walnut Street. Don't be upset if this location is too far away though, because Georgia House has FOUR other location in lower Delaware; Millsboro, Selbyville, Laurel, & Georgetown!

The very first Georgia House was opened 10 years ago in Millsboro Delaware. The Milford Delaware location was opened 3 years ago, & was the 3^rd location to go up!

This restaurant offers take-out, some catering, & a large banquet room located on the second floor for any special event! They also have an adorable set up outside for dining during the right time of the year.

Their menu is only changed twice a year, normally to bring in vegetables and other foods that are in season. They wouldn't have to change the menu for me, because their food was delicious! They serve anything from burgers, to steaks, to crab cakes, to pasta & of course salads! The prices are just right too!

If you are ever in the area of one of their five locations & feel like getting something to eat, I really think you should check them out! You won't be disappointed!

(I think this is pretty neat outdoor set up. There is front wall is still up, but the rest of this area is completely outdoors. It looks really awesome when your in there.)

Today I had the chance to visit a pretty intriguing place, called The Victorian Lady, which is located in the historic district of Milford Delaware. The Victorian Lady is a Tea House, as well as a gift & antique shop.

If you want to go to a place that makes you feel like you are in another era, to sit and relax with your friends for a calm afternoon, then this is a good place to start! With a large dining room & a small meeting room, The Victorian Lady can service everyone.

In the afternoon they offer The Queen's Tea, which is a 4 course meal including tea sandwiches, soup, scones, & tea. In the early evening they offer The Victorian Tea, which is a 3 course meal including tea sandwiches, scones, & tea.

They also have a full service menu, or smaller items like the Cream Tea or the Luncheon Tea. They do small meetings, church groups, baby shower, bridal showers, Red Hat Meetings & classes on the health benefits of tea. In the past they have had events like Phantom of the Opera night where people dressed the theme, played music from The Phantom of the Opera, they served The Queen's Tea, & in the end they gave a surprise that made everyone want to stay for more! They have had Princess Tea (for the little girls), Valentine's tea, and chocolate lover's tea (mmmmm, that sounds like the one for me!)

In the gift shop they offer 65 different loose leaf teas that are available in 2 & 4 ounce tins. They also offer pillows, linens, music, tea cups, tea pots, & lots more!

This wonderful place has been open for 4 yrs, but the building dates back to the early 1800's. It is on the historic registry, and the beauty that has been preserved within this building is magical. All of the scones are homemade by one of the owners & have been quite a hit with the guests at The Victorian Lady!

Really, go see for yourself! If you EVER have a chance to stop in to Milford Delaware, I highly suggest you stop at The Victorian Lady! Located at 112 NW Front Street, Milford De 19963! If you would like more information you can visit them personally on the web at The Victorian Lady!
