While sitting outside the condo in Boca Grande, FL over the Memorial Day weekend, I found the greatest shells and a sea urchin for my collection. This photo, now my desktop background, makes me relaxed and happy. It's sooooo hot out, I wish I was there now.

Hello Folks,
Below are a series of pictures from my last two visit to Boca Grande in the past three weeks. The island and the waters around it are simply beautiful. Awesome beaches and if you like to collect sharks teeth, this is a great place to find them in the surf.
Enjoy these views ....

Hello Folks, April 30, 2009
Couple weeks ago, in early April 2009, I had the pleasure of spending the day on the beach in Boca Grande. Boca Grande is a beautiful island on the west coast of Florida. The waters around Boca are a beautiful Bluish/Green color, much like you would see in the Caribbean.
A huge benefit of spending the day on Boca’s beaches is the lack of people you have to share the sand with. Boca is not heavily visited which makes it very nice. The beaches are awesome with soft white sand and if you like to collect sharks teeth, this looks like an excellent place to do so. As we were walking the beach, I spotted a lady with a handful of sharks teeth. Previously, I had always gone up to Venice Beach to look for teeth, but now that I know you can find them on Boca Grande, this is where I will be coming in the future.
What makes Boca’s Beaches so nice is that they do not have much commercial development. Most of the beaches are lined with private homes and I can only think of a couple resorts which are located on the beach.
These beaches are also an outstanding location to have a romantic get-together. As mentioned ….. very few people, beautiful water and soft sand to lay out a blanket.
Boca grande is also one of the few, if not only barrier island, to have two lighthouses. The tall metal light house is located about mid-island and the other is located on the souther tip at Boca grande Pass.
Hope you have enjoyed the photos.

Playing around with posting pictures in the blog for the first time.
Okay, so this wasn’t today. We took a few days off and drove about an hour south to the ever-exotic Boca Grande, where we did … nothing. Well, we did look at some fine real estate. A beautiful place but not cheap! Outside those fine homes: some of the nicest boats I’ve ever seen.

And we spent some time sitting on a sandbar, sipping bubbly water. That’s our boat in the first photo, a Simmons Sea Skiff 20, for those boat nuts out there.

Okay, enough of that. Back on your heads!
