About Carrollwood's Carrollwood Crossings

Carrollwood is about 15 miles of north and a little west of downtown Tampa. Matt Jetton of Sun State Builders, began building homes around the 200 acre Lake Carroll in the 1950's. By 1974, a little over 900 homes were built all with access to Lake Carroll. These homes sold for $20,000 to $40,000. Today they sell for considerly more. Carrollwood has expanded to include many more communities such as Lake Magdalene, Northdale, Carrollwood Village or Whispering Oaks. Carrollwood is located along North Dale Mabry. Carrollwood's good schools, churches, ample shopping and outstanding restaurants make it a wonderful home location. Prices range from the mid $100,000's to over $1,000,000 for lake front sites. Carrolwood has beautiful single family homes, villas, townhomes, condos, and waterfront estates. This neighborhood also features a variety of specialty shops, boutiques and restaurants.
