Clearwater Beach, Florida is one of the best beaches that I have ever seen. I recently returned again because it is so pleasant with ample parking. Unlike some other beaches they have terrific public restrooms:
The parking lots are in close proximity to Clearwater Beach Florida. For parking I highly suggest that if you plan to visit Clearwater Beach Florida to arrive before 10 a.m.
Typically parking seems to fill up quickly after that. For example I visited Sarasota's Siesta Key and wow... parking was not as good. It was challenging.
Along Clearwater Beach Florida they have installed new showers with turtles.
Can you see the honu (i.e. the turtle)???

As you can see it is very family friendly :)
A hui hou (until next time)

Clearwater Beach will finally get a long awaited parking garage. The City Council voted unanimously on a 300 space 4 level garage with ground floor retail space on Beach Walk. Vehicles will enter and exit the garage from Coronado Drive.
The site is currently the home of Britt's Laguna Grill, a popular restaurant on the Beachwalk promenade. A new Britt's will be located on the ground floor. Surf Style Retail Management, who owns the site will pay to build the garage itself, with no city tax dollars.

It has not yet beeen determined what the city will charge for parking, but it will likely be similar the agreement the city has with the Hyatt, which will have 400 parking places for the public in its 750-space garage - rates must be "comparable" to the garages of other beachfront resorts.
The Beachwalk project, which was completed last year, eliminated hundreds of waterfront parking spaces on S. Gulfview Blvd, and the city has been scrambling ever since to come up with replacements. The city is currently leasing 2 vacant lots for parking.
The project is expected to to be complete by next fall.

Clearwater/Clearwater Beach Florida is located in Pinellas County due west of Tampa. It has a population of approximate 110,000 people. Prior to 1906, the area was known as Clear Water Harbor. Clearwater was incorporated as a town in 1891. Clearwater was reincorporated in May 27, 1915 and made the county seat for Pinellas County. Also in 1915 a bridge was built across Clearwater Harbor joining the city with modern day Clearwater Beach.
Clearwater Beach has been rated "the number one activity beach in the nation" and offers a variety of beach activities such as volleyball, fishing, parasailing and much more. A very popular nightly sunset celebration takes place at Pier 60 Park and offers free family events featuring live musical entertainment, street performers and crafters. There are numerous nice restaurants close by like Island Way Grill, Caretta on the Gulf, Shephard´s, Kiku and Frenchy´s. Many nice hotels and motels can also be found on the beach. Caladesi Island State Park, the top American Beach with white powder sand and crystal water is located just outside Clearwater/Dunedin and can be reached by boat or ferry from Clearwater Beach and Honeymoon Island.

I was born and raised in Hawai'i and I love the ocean so of course I love going to Clearwater Beach often. I also love using my camera to capture glimpses of life.
I use a simple point-and-shoot camera: A 8.1 mp green Casio Exilim.
This time I purposefully posted larger pictures so that I can try to show the vibrant colors. The Tampa Bay Florida area is equally vibrant with life.
Here are some recent pictures of Clearwater Beach:
1. The entrance into the Clearwater Beach area looks like this:
2. The road to what is called "north" Clearwater Beach. Yes it is very long LOL:
3. A picture of the playground and pavilion area at Pier 60:
4. A photo of part of Clearwater Beach:
5. A picture of the new Beach Walk along Clearwater Beach:
6. A picture of part of Clearwater Beach:
7. Where I can be found often... a casual picture of the Coldwell Banker at Clearwater Beach along Mandalay:
8. Another picture of Clearwater Beach:
9. Yes... I took a picture of the sand :)
In the mean time I hope that everyone is enjoying their week so far.
Aloha,
