We're now within the season from here to Thanksgiving through Christmas that particularly reminds me of the many reasons for which I'm thankful for, that include my family, God, friends and my passion for helping others in Real Estate. This post was brought on by a recent Short Sale closing here in Coral Springs.
Typical, never a dull moment, Short Sale happenings resulted in another Short Sale closing here in Coral Springs Florida. We had what seemed to be all the common Short Sale delays yet we perservered and made it to the closing table. Yes we can.
I mentioned that Short Sale closings remind me of what I'm THANKFUL for in my life: Short Sales are so much more than just settling a Real Estate transaction. You become an important part of the Seller's life you're representing as we really have the ability to make a difference in our Seller's life. What other jobs offer such satisfaction? Can you say that about your job? My customer couldn't thank me enough and looks forward to the day that she's back on her feet to call me to let me know that she's ready to be a homeowner again. She's got hope for her future. This time of year can remind us to keep on keeping on and to have hope: the desire and search for a future good
Look around you and I bet you can find something to be Thankful about even in these tough times.

I been thinking about customer service a lot lately. I'm constantly being taken aback in my own personal experiences when dealing with public personnel whom I'm requesting service from and their overall lack of customer service. Customer service is blogged about a lot and it can really stir up a lot of feelings on what is customer service and how to achieve optimum customer service which was written on recently by a great Active Rain blogger, Gary Woltal in Secrets of Customer service. Customer service to me, is really pretty easy to accomplish as I'm sure most can agree on this statement. How difficult is it to provide service when we all like to be treated well? After all, it's our livelihood. Isn't it one of the great characteristics that one should behold to be successful here in America? Isn't it part of the unlimited opportunities that are available to us here in America? To grow ones business you need to provide excellence in Customer Service which in turns will give you great freedom on not having to depend on others. Aren't we a country of not wanting to depend on others? We can do all of this and it starts by providing excellence in service whether it's in Real Estate or any other industry. I closed on a Short Sale about a month ago and just recently received a written testimonial letter from my customer and was blessed by his words of gratitude. One line really stood out for me and I wanted to share with you the value of excellence in customer service and how it really can make all the difference in what we do; it can make you form a lump in your throat when you know that you've done your best. My customer said:"...if Lynn counts her currency by the help she gives to distressed homeowners, then she must be rich indeed" This is a great reason to value excellence in customer service when it isn't always just about the money.
Wouldn't you think in these tough economic times with unemployment rates at all time highs, that those who relish in a Customer Service driven profession would be going overboard to provide the ultimate customer service experience in order to eliminate the fear of being unemployed? I would think yet, my experiences do not exhibit such behavior. Why is that do you think? Is it arrogance? Is it apathy? What is it? Well, I guess we won't be able to figure out why people do what they do or should I say "don't" do what they should.
