Bike Week 2012 Daytona

The Harleys are arriving early this year and enjoying some great weather even though it has been a bit windy. Bike Week 2012 Daytona Beach Florida officially is March 9th to March 19th, 2012 and this is the 71st year of this great event billed as the World’s largest Motorcycle Event.
There are hundreds of smaller events throughout the Daytona Beach area during the 10 days of Bike Week 2012 including the always popular coleslaw wrestling,special menus at area restaurants, bike shows and auctions and way too many activities to mention.
A treasure hunt where you visit 10 locations and get your card stamped will result in you getting a commemorative coin as a keepsake. There are a limited number of the coins and they are numbered so they may be a collectors item in the future. This is the second year of the treasure hunt.

If you are going to Bike Week 2012 be sure to stop by the welcome center tent at riverfront park on Beach Street across from Daytona-Harley Davidson to pick up your official pocket guide. The guide has a map, list of activities and the information for the treasure hunt. There is also, new this year, a QR code that allows you to download an iphone app with lots onf Bike Week 2012 information.

Official Bike Week Welcome Center

The Daytona Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau will have the official Bike Week welcome center open from March 9, 2012 to March 18, 2012, Thursday to Saturday.

Pick up the Official Pocket Guide & 2012 Bike Week Poster and other information, area event schedules and literature. Get your Bike Week motorcycle giveaway tickets and even get your blood pressure checked for free.
The official welcome center will be at Riverfront Park, across from Daytona-Harley Davidson on Beach Street.

French Market in downtown Daytona Beach Florida

Downtown Daytona Beach merchants will present a French Market on this spring on Saturday, February 26, March 26, and April 23, 2012.

The event is expected to offer food, arts, entertainment and much more. Outside vendors will come in to provide a variety of offerings. It is expected to be a multi-cultural event. The French Market is an open air shopping bazaar that will be experienced along Beach Street from Bay Street to Orange Avenue and also along International Speedway Blvd.

The French Market stretches more than 4 blocks in historic downtown Daytona Beach from 9AM to 3PM. You can also stroll over to the Farmer's market on City Island which is open every Saturday from 8AM to Noon.

There will be entertainment, arts and crafts, holiday items, baked goods, handbags and apparel and much more.

Admission is FREE and parking is FREE. Head on down to downtown Daytona Beach Florida on December 3rd for music, fun, food and dancing and get some Christmas shopping done.
