About Daytona Beach's Pelican Bay

I received a call from the agent. It is Sunday, and not many agents are working on Sundays.

Barbara told me she wanted to preview a townhome we listed in gated Pelican Bay in Daytona Beach. Her customers come to town tomorrow and she is previewing properties for them.

I like the way this agent operates. This is the best way to familiarize yourself with the inventory, and act professionally. I remembered an excellent blog post by J. Philip FarandaJust Show the House where he described how agents substitute first hand experience by a lengthy telephone conversation.

The worst thing agents can do is taking their customers randomly, knowing little to nothing about the area and the properties hoping that something may still interest the Buyer, and things will just happen.

Our office is in a condo-hotel and we see it so often. And then agent comes and talks incessantly covering lack of knowledge and professionalism.

There are two things that may happen with our listing. The agent may decide not to show, and this is fine. Or she would show it and then we would have a good chance as in this situation it is less left to chance and more to being prepared.
