When the Real Estate market in Daytona Beach area was basking in the sun and money, we got some nice condominium buildings popping up on the self proclaimed Most Famous Beach in the World.

One of those is St. Maarten, the second building in Daytona Beach Shoresby Doug Cook Development. His foray into this market brought, besides fancy Caribbean names, brought a new level of luxury that we did not see here before. His first building was St. Croix, St. Maarten followed in 2006, and then came St. Kitts...

I always thought that for the authenticity, Doug Cook could have called one part of the building St. Maarten, and the other St. Martin (LOL), but he decided to take sides, and this is perfectly fine. Nobody notices this anyway.

Look at unit 206. Direct oceanfront 3 bdr unit with 2,322 sf under air. Now that the sun is here, but the money is thin, you can buy it for $350,000. I can't believe it. But this is true.

Exceptional price. I checked the sales, and unit 306 on the same line was sold by a developer in March 2006 for $705,000. I marked in bold units on the same line, that are for sale today. See the difference.

How many times I heard that God is not creating any more oceanfront. True. But he is kind enough to do his magic, and allow us to go back in time and buy today's luxury for yesterday's half price. And we mistakenly call it a recession. While it would be more appropriate to call it a chance of a century.
