The Garlic Fest in Delray Beach is a gourmet food & entertainment event that celebrates the “Art of Garlic.” The three day event features live national act entertainment on the main stage and professional level cooking competitions and demonstrations at our Garlic Chef Stadium currently featured on the Food Network’s “Unwrapped” program. In addition, there are recreational and educational activities for families in the Children’s Area and heavenly garlic goodies available in Gourmet Alley Food Court.Feast on unique garlic dishes including favorites like flaming shrimp scampi. You can also devour garlic crab cakes, garlic bruschetta, garlic pizza, garlic Argentine BBQ with garlic black beans and rice, garlic portobello sandwich and many more including topping it off with garlic ice cream. Sandoway House Nature Center in Delray Beach

There are not many nature centers that are housed in a home that is on the National Register of Historic Places but that’s exactly what the Sandoway House Nature Center is.

The structure was built in 1936 and located just across from the Atlantic Ocean in Delray Beach. There are shark feedings, nature walks, educational programs, astronomy nights, summer camp and other special events.

Upstairs is a private shell collection that is the largest (10,000 museum quality shells) in Southeast Florida, a Florida Reptile room and another room devoted to historic Delray. And to get a better view of the ocean, you can step out on the observation deck!

In my opinion, the Delray Beach Real Estate Market continues to show that when homes are priced right, they sell. There was a decrease in total number of closed sales in Delray Beach this month over last. Closed sales of single family homes were down this month over last while sales in attached housing (condos, villas and townhomes) showed a slight increase this month over last. We are "in season" now, so let's see if the trend continues.

The chart below is based on information taken from the Multiple Listing Service and sold by various MLS participants. It does not include private sales or mobile homes. It is deemed accurate but not guaranteed or warranted. Here is the breakdown.
