Set along Florida’s southwest coast, the Fort Myers area is known for its fishing, beaches, golfing, shopping and other outdoor recreations. There are attractions to capture the imagination of any active adult retiree, and the sunny climate offers mild winters and long, hot summers. With both urban and coastal attractions, the area may be an ideal destination for many active adult retirees.
The city of Fort Myers sits on the south bank of the Caloosahatchee River, just 15 miles from Fort Myers Beach, which enjoys the warm waters of the southern Gulf coast. The area is about 30 minutes north of Naples, another popular retirement destination, and the same distance south of the quaint communities in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. Though summers are hot, Southern Florida offers relatively mild weather with plenty of sunshine.
Golf enthusiasts particularly enjoy Fort Myers’ fine weather as there are more than 50 public and private golf courses scattered throughout the area. Active adults looking to relocate to the Fort Myers area will be particularly interested in the spectacular 27-hole championship course found at Pelican Preserve. In addition to the beautiful and challenging course, members can enjoy all of the amenities within its 25,000 square-foot clubhouse, including a fitness center, private spa, full service dining room and pro golf shop.
Fort Myers is considered by many to be the gateway to the Southwest Florida region. It is also the home of the Edison and Ford winter estates, which are now popular tourist attractions. Visitors can explore 20 acres of buildings and gardens at these adjoining winter estates (which are one shared attraction). The Estates Museum features hundreds of artifacts and special exhibits, while science-minded visitors may prefer a pass through Edison’s Botanic Research Lab. Tourists can easily spend a whole day touring the estates, and local residents will find many reasons to come back again and again.
With its close proximity to both the Caloosahatchee River and the Gulf of Mexico, it’s not a surprise that boating, fishing and other water activities are popular activities in the Fort Myers area. Fisherman can take their pick of destinations from deep artificial reefs, to backwater creeks and swamps, to booking a deep sea fishing excursion. A wide variety of recreational cruises and boat tours are also available along the river and out past the sparkling coast.
Both local residents and visiting tourists enjoy all of the fine dining and shopping opportunities found throughout the area. Downtown Fort Myers has many distinct shops, eateries, galleries and cafes. There are well-known chains and charming local boutiques. Bargain-lovers will particularly enjoy searching for savings at shopping hot spots like Tanger Outlet Center and the Fleamaster’s Fleamarket.
Whether planning a sunny beach vacation or looking for a place to retire, active adults are sure to find many appealing attractions in Fort Myers. Plan a visit for yourself and see why this Southwest Florida area is a perfect getaway for active adults.

ANALYTICS MANIAC
With all the different ways to build websites and post in various Places, Like Active Rain. Are you Like me and have become an analytics Maniac? Man I can't seem to get enough, at first it started after I built my own Wordpress site.
By Using Google Analytics in place and seeing which ads were getting the most hits or which banners were working better. Now that I
know how automaticaly Post to all my Social Networks, Now its to see Which ones send me the most traffic or on my link referral accounts which ones talk smack and which ones actually produce. Now I finally figured out how to track My craigslist ads free without using Google analytics and Almost in Real Time. With all of these ways to look at what s producing and whats not its kind of an obsession. An Obsession that I could Hire a Team to do full Time.
There are analytics on everything now and its awesome the power to know what works and what doesn't. The power to not waist time and money on things that are useless. If your not using analytics these days then chances are you were like I was and waisted hundreds of dollars on things like PPC(pay per clicks). Adwords Which I use the most provides me with detailed information on what ads are getting more clicks or which keywords are, 1 costing me to much or 2 Not Producing at all.
Youtube has had analytics for a While now but I never really look at them till recently and Wow what you can get to know about who is watching your videos. You can Learn What age they are, where their from, Even if the majority of who is watching your video is male or female. Youtube is a wonderful Platform to use and its like second in the search engine ranking. But not only that they have introduced video promotions through your adwords account. Now you can promote your video everywhere. And then gather Analytics on those ads to figure out what video styles work the best and convert your Sales. Which Brings me to my next point, If you are marketing online the most important thing is, What? SALES. Numbers and graphs are impressive when I first started using Adwords, I was so excited to check the analytics to see how many people clicked on my one AWESOME ad. I woke up the next morning fired up the Laptop and found a massive amount of numbers on my one ad that I had running, I think I had Like over 60,000 impressions and 250 clicks. I was amazed, I thought to myself, man I going to be raking it in Now. With all these people going to my site, I'm gonna have a ton of Leads to work this week. Man I may even Have a million dollar week.
BUT ( i wish i had the sound for the price is right loser sound) and thats a BIG BUT What I found out very quickly was all these people coming to my site does not mean a conversion which of course does not mean a Lead and does not mean a sale. I felt as if I were in the middle of an ocean and the wind had just been taking out of my sail or my sales LOL. This was a big leason I had to learn, See not only did I not convert anything out of all these impressions and clicks, But I paid alot of money. I had my CPC( cost per click) way to high and my daily budget was to high which resulted in yeah a ton of people but nothing coming back.
What did I do wrong I thought? Thats when I was introduce to the world of analytics. What the analytics showed me was that, First off the ad that I was running was for short sale service in my area. And come to find Out I was getting clicks from all over the world and of course all over the U.S. Huge Rookie mistake. and this is just one example of many that cost me time money and sales. So if your Not tapped into the analytics frenzy then I would definitely suggest you do.
If anyone has any Questions about how they Market better online, or how to use analytics and so forth. Feel free to ask I would be more than willing to give you half a secret.
Just kidding Ask and you shall Receive...

Fort Myers Foreclosures, Why so many?
Yes unfortunantly their is quite a large number of foreclosures in the inventory and then there is an even larger number of back inventory yet to be leaked. But why are there so many? Some disclose that the banks were so overwhelmed by it that they couldn't put the pieces of the puzzle fast enough to help these people out with short sales. And informing these individuals that they could save a lot time and worry by doing a short sale. Truth is Some banks now have realized that it is better to have someone in the property rather than letting it sit vacant. Leaving it vunerable to damage by vandelism and having the home stripped of all appliances, lighting, water equipment, A/C equipment and so on. Which is an obviouse plus to the resale value. But not only that can help the people owning the home.
How will a shortsale benefit the homeowner? Just for starters, it can help there credit situation out substantially. A lot of the times the banks can be negotiated on terms to have the deficiency waived. What does that mean? While it will still show up on your credit its not near as damaging, with having the deficiency waived instead of showing say $120,000 owed it will show zero owed. Doing a Short Sale also benifits you for when you do get back on your feet and are ready to buy a new home. It allows you the possibility of buying a home as early as 2 years, but with a foreclosure I have heard numbers no earlier than 7 years till you would be able to buy again.
Also I should ad that Some Banks not all of them, Are helping people out with relocation money. For example one of our clients was awarded 25,000 for doing short sale and I have heard numbers as high as 40k, Pretty crazy right. But again that doesn't happen all the time and differs between banks but if it was me, You are darn right I'd be asking my bank about it.
So to all that are in Foreclosure and can't see the light at the end of the tunnel there are opptions you just need to talk to the right person. If your are int he Fort Myers area and are one those people or know some one in that possition contact me and lets see if we can help you.
