About Islamorada's Futura Yacht Club

A couple from Kansas closed on their new Futura Yacht Club condo this week. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a boat slip. There are spending their time diving with Conch Republic Divers on Tavernier Creek and enjoying their new place.

They are choosing paint colors and planning on a new kitchen in the fall. The Sherwin Williams people have become fast friends as they spruce the place up. They will be renting the unit and are meeting neighbors who know of possible tenants. Islamorada Carpet Cleaners have already been in there to clean the furniture. New sofa pillows have been purchased from the Key Largo K Mart. The unit will be listed as a short term rental with Barefeet Rentals in Key Largo.

A short stroll away is Forrest Tek Lumber, Dooley Construction, Islamorada Carpet Cleaners, Domino’s Pizza, Eye Catcher’s signs, Island Kitchen and Bath and City Hall Café. Nearby is Tom Thumb convenience store, which carries ice and fuel.

Within walking distance is world famous Marker 88 restaurant, which is across from Plaza 88. Plaza 88 is home to Postnet, an Arcade, Edward Jones and a car stereo place. There are two nurseries within walking distance and a fresh vegetable stand with Homestead produce.

You can put your overflow guests at Lookout Lodge, which is just south of Marker 88 restaurant.

Futura Yacht Club has two types of residences. The tower building contains flats with 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units with 1 and 2 baths.

The townhomes are two story with parking underneath. They are two bedrooms and two and a half baths.
