About Islamorada's Indian Waterways

Located approximately two hours easy driving time south of Miami Beach and approximately two hours driving time north of Key West you will find the Village of Islamorada that is 7 miles long and about ½ mile wide.

Islamorada also known as the "Village of Islands" is an incorporated Village located in Monroe County, Florida, on the Islands of Lower Matecumbe Key, Upper Matecumbe Key, Windley Key and Plantation Key in the Fabulous Florida Keys.  Islamorada is nicknamed as the "Sport Fishing Capital of the World!". "Islamorada, Village of Islands"  is basically four separate and livable islands and was incorporated on November 4, 1997.

Here you will find the Highly Desirable Neighborhood of "Indian Waterways" located at Mile Markers 88 and 89.  Indian Waterways consists of Single Family Homes on both dry lots and Ocean Access Canals and Bay Front Homes.  Many of the Homes are built of CBS Construction and are 2 and 3 Story Stilt Homes because much of the Florida Keys is at Sea Level, however Islamorada is actually the highest of all the Keys at a spectacular 16 feet above sea level!  Homes located in Indian Waterways are often Carribean in Style, with many Elaborate Custom Built Homes as well.  Homes on Dry Lots can sell anywhere from $350k to $550k and a Waterfront Canal Home may sell anywhere from $600k to a Million dollars.  Bayfront Homes sell for well over a million dollars.
