About Lake Worth's Bryant Park

It is time once again for us to remember and give thanks for our country's independence. It was 235 years ago that our forbears fought for and died so that this country could be free and independent!

Our lovely town of Lake Worth, Florida will be doing the holiday a bit differently than in years past. On July 3rd, the Downtown Merchants Association will be sponsoring an Old Fashioned 4th of July celebration, There will be a raffle, pie baking and watermelon eating contests, and I believe that there will be a bounce house for the kids. All of these activities will be held along Lake Avenue and the side streets between Lake and Lucerne.

The 4th will begin as it has in the past with the raft race in the Lake Worth lagoon. This is usually held in the late morning at the Bryant park boat ramp. A truly fun and humorous romp in the water. Rafts must be hand made and not be a real boat. Some of the ones that I have seen in past events have been very funny.

Later there will be a picnic in the park and a fireworks show in the evening at 9pm. Come on over and enjoy yourself. Visit our lovely town and have a great time... See you There!

I'm having a great summer. This new Festival Event should be a memorable afffair. Come to Lake Worth on Saturday, August 7th, 10 AM - 6 PM. Bryant Park is located right on the Intracoastal Waterway. Listen to 20 Bands while watching the parade of boats in the waterway.

Lake Worth is one of the last remaining seaside cities in Florida. It has it's own beach, a small town feel, bike lanes, artist and musician community. Local Parades are one of Lake Worth's charms and it brings locals and visitors together.

Recently I have been walking over the Lake Worth Bridge in the mornings. It is quite a bit cooler at this time of day and very peaceful. This morning the water was like glass.

The morning brings fishermen, runners, bicyclists, and other walkers out to get the juices flowing. get a head start on the day or to just relax in the gorgeous South FLorida breeze.

It doesn't hurt that I could use the exercise. Most of my day is spent sitting in a car or behind a desk. I feel better and my dog Spanky loves it too.

I have been working on several transactions including a couple of short sales that have been very very difficult. One of the short sales has been in the works for 6 months with no end in sight! All of it is very stressful.

We all could use more exercise plus peace and quiet in our noisy, hurried, stressed out lives. I hope everyone who sees this enjoys the photo. It was taken on my phone. Not bad for a multitasking device!

The 4th Of July has come and gone and what a day it was! It dawned hot and sunny ans stayed that way! Local events began at 11am with the Neighborhood Raft Regatta.

Everyone had lots of fun, and some got pretty wet.

As you can see, there was a great turnout. Everyone in attendace had great time.

Lake Worth is a great small town in the midst of one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world. It is full of eclectic fun people with a wonderful live and let live atmosphere.

The day continued with a big festival in Bryant Park, Lots of vendors, food, music and fun!
