I have always liked this little enclave called Matlacha Isles in Cape Coral. And when I say Cape Coral, in fact, it's really in Matlacha. But as you can see on the picture below, it's even closer to Pines Island and Cape Coral than Matlacha itself.

While Cape Coral is a city with lots of canal frontage, it feels still like a Floridian city, where you live and work. On the other hand, Matlacha has a Key West atmosphere that you can only find in Matlacha...or in the Keys!
It's much more a vacation atmosphere where people really live fo rthe waters and eveything in relation with it.
I recently have a lisitng there. Every properties have sailboat Gulf access and nothing else matter there. You're not buying a house in Matlacha. You're buying the atmosphere that goes with it that you can't find anywhere else in the area. Homeowners are all very closed to each other and share the same passions.
