The Club at Mediterra and Bonita Bay doing just fine...

After a long, protracted and highly publicized turneover The Club at Mediterra is doing just fine. In fact, it's expanding! Max Passino, Director of Membership stated "The success of the turnover was greater than the financial model and projections predicted."

From turnover to the members through June the Club added 70 new members, reported Passino.

Given the success and financial condition of The Club it was decided to add two popular amenities - Bocce and a new Bar/Dining Gathering Area.

These two projects are estimated to cost $84,000 and no assessments to the members will be required.

Bonita Bay Club, part of the Bonita Bay Community just west of U.S. 41 in Bonita Springs and not to be confused with Bonita Bay Group the developer, was purchased in March by the members.

Daniel Miles signed on in June as the club's new manager coming from the Medinah Country Club in Chicago.

Over the past summer the Board approved $3.5 million in needed capital improvements as not much had been done in a couple of years. Improvements include upgrading the club's entrance with pavers, lush landscape, and fountains while inside new carpeting, furniture, and other accents providing a contrast to the previous stark white.
