About Ocala's Ocala (marion County) Horse Community

Taking a 'little ride around more of Ocala’s beautiful horses and horse farms' is keeping me from Yelping, but I do still FourSquare. I need to start adding farms to FourSquare. Too many of them are for sale. ;-(

The Florida Thoroughbred industry, and breeds such as the Arabian, Paso Fino, Quarter horse, horses, and the Gypsy Vanner call Ocala, in Marion County FL, home, covering some exceptionally beautiful acreage, which is evident in the video below.

Early the morning of August 12 I rode around some of Ocala’s beautiful horse farms in the York area, home to a few spectacular Thoroughbred horse farms like Double Diamond, Live Oak Stud, and Stonewall Farm.

There were even some horses being exercised on the track at Double Diamond when I was filming, so I hope you enjoy this little drive with me.

Double Diamond Farm in Ocala, established in 1983, has a proven history of “commitment and attention given to every aspect of raising a winner.”

The Double Diamond horse farm property is impeccable, horses were breezing on the spotless training track Thursday morning when I was enjoying the views (video to follow this post), and the early morning weather on this beautiful Ocala Thoroughbred horse farm was spectacular.

Here are a few of the sights and sounds from the Southern Regional Paso Fino Horse Association’s Extravaganza at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion on Jacksonville Road in Ocala, FL, which I attended on Saturday, August 7th. Many Paso Fino horse farms call Ocala, and surrounding Marion County areas, home.
