I happen to be a lucky person that has enjoyed Town and Country living. I live the lifestyle as I like my space and love the countryside. Oh yes, I have done the beach, too, but have turned to exploring our state.
The big surprise is the beautiful farms that we have in the central part of our state. OKEECHOBEE COUNTY TOPS THE RATING. Florida has an enormous amount of cattle farms. I love to go to Okeechobee and be with the REAL COWBOYS. Seriously, it is still like the movies. These guys are still out working cattle as we zoom by in our cars as fast as we can go. But wait just one minute. We sometimes forget how we get our milk and eat that BIG STEAK at our favorite dining place. Can you imagine being on a horse all day long, being responsible for thousand of dairy cows, depending on the weather for profits, etc.
Westen St. Lucie County has some beautiful hammocks. I was blown away when I visited a shooting club just off Orange Avenue. This is about twenty miles west of Ft. Pierce. This was just unbelievably beautiful. I believe the name was Quail Shooting Resort. This is clay shooting. Upscale and worth the time to visit. Just drive in. It is free to visit but not free to shoot. Have lunch there.
Florida is a lot more agricultural than one would think. Take a ride like I did and see this countrside. Again, it is free. My best associate, Charlie, and I go to COWBOYS to have chicken fingers and watch football and dine with the REAL COWBOYS. I feel like I am in the movies. Take my suggestion and see Florida as it really is to folks that live here. We have so much that is FREE to enjoy. See more on my webiste.
