Located just minutes from downtown Orlando, the Waterford Lakes area in East Orlando offers a collection of planned residential communities, each subdivision having a distinctive style and strong neighborhood ties.

The Huckleberry Fields subdivision led the way in the mid-1980s, when this unincorporated eastern side of Orlando was considered far off the beaten track. The growth of the University of Central Florida (UCF), however, along with the expansion of the East-West Tollway into Alafaya Trail and UCF, spurred additional development. The subdivisions of Waterford Lakes eventually followed in 1991, along with Waterford Chase around 2001, and finally Waterford Trails not far behind in 2005. Because the area’s popularity exploded when Waterford Lakes was being built, the neighborhoods are collectively known as ‘Waterford Lakes’.

Find here a thriving and involved suburban atmosphere, plenty of shopping along Alafaya Trail, quick access to the East-West (408) & Greeneway (417) Tollways, proximity to the University of Central Florida (UCF), as well as entertainment venues, excellent dining experiences, and an outstanding quality of life.
