Fourth of July Independence Day Celebration Celebrate the 4th on the banks of the Halifax River. The free Independence Day Celebration in Ormond Beach Florida will feature Food, music, games and fireworks July 4, 2010 6PM to 10PM. Fireworks start at 9:30 PM. The event takes place at 3 corners of the Granada Bridge: Rockefeller Gardens, Fortunato Park, and City Hall Plaza. There will be food and music on each corner. In the patriotic Kids' Corner at Fortunato Park there will be juggling, a magic show, strolling performers, arts and crafts, games, and inflatables. Uncle Sam, Ben Franklin and Abe Lincoln are expected to attend to talk with the kids. There is a paved walkway under the east side of the Granada Bridge to allow walking from Fortunato Park to Rockefeller Gardens. Mary, Mother of Jesus in Ormond Beach

Just over seven years ago as I was pursuing Jennifer Tucker, who is now Jennifer Tucker Anton...we went on a dinner date with Jim & Marlene Hess in Charlotte. Jim & Marlene were a couple that Jennifer highly respected and they were a pillar couple in The Charlotte Church. During dinner, Jim made a comment about Jennifer, who he knew very well...Jim said that Jennifer was the closest thing to "Mary, the Mother of Jesus".

I didn't think too deeply about that comment at dinner that evening. But as I began deepening my relationship with my eventual wife, I finally understood what Jim meant.

Seven years later, I truly believe I am the luckiest man in the world!!! Jennifer is a devoted wife, incredible caring mom, amazing caretaker for Nanny & most importantly a Disciple of Jesus Christ. As we enter the most important few days for Christians, it's hard not be grateful for the way that Jesus has blessed me.
