The Trails. A Place To Live In Ormond Beach

Jon Zolsky, your Daytona Beach, Florida connection: Real Estate Brokerage in Daytona Beach, FL

The Trails is an established subdivision in Ormond Beach. North of Grananda Ave (Rt.40), it is accessible from both Granada Ave and from the main entrance on Nova Road right pass the Trails Shopping Center.

Besides The Trails, there is also Trails North Forty to the West and Trails South Forty south of Granada.

The Trails trailswere built starting from late 70. The development was very sensitive to the existing trees, and this makes it beautiful with all those mature trees and lush vegetation. There are 382 properties in the Trails, you can see some of them in a slideshow below.

West part of the Trail borders Tomoka River, which is navigable for smaller boats, and has access to Intracoastal Waterway and the ocean. YOu can find one of the nicest homes with incredible vistas on that scenic river, reminiscent of Old Florida.

One of the best Shopping Centers in Daytona Beach Area is at the entrance to the residential subdivision and bears the same name: Trails Shopping Center.

Less than 3 miles to the Ocean, and about 3 miles to I-95, this is a perfect location in the middle of bustling area, and light years aways from the noise of the city.

It's tranquility is unparalleled.

Ormond Beach Florida-Living in Paradise!!

Donna Dosch, Broker Associate, CRS e-PRO: Real Estate Agent in Ormond Beach, FL

Do you want to wake up every morning and be able to enjoy this, or maybe just a stroll on the beach? How about having your morning coffee on your balcony overlooking this view. Ormond Beach is a great place to live! Watch the sunrise over the Atlantic, and the sunset from one of many river front docks overlooking the Halifax River, part of the Inter Coastal waterway.

I think that this is one of the nicest areas, most beautiful areas in Florida. We are still a small town, but only a short drive to Daytona, and about an hour or so to Orlando and the Mouse house. We have the best of both worlds. We live in an area where you get to know your neighbors, and enjoy a peaceful traffic free beach. But if you enjoy the night life and attractions you can go for the day and then come home to your little piece of heaven.

Whether you enjoy participating in water sports or just watching while you enjoy relaxing on the beach this is the place to be. There's not many days a year that you can't enjoy the beach, even if it's just for a walk. Do you like fishing? Well you can fish just about anywhere for anything. You can throw a line in while you spend the day on the beach, or fish from a dock or bridge in the Halifax. If you have a boat your options are endless.

We have wonderful Winters, we get a little cold weather for a day or two, and then it's back to 70 degrees or so. The Winter is a great time to spend a day at a theme park, the cooler temperatures make the day much more enjoyable.

How could you not love this?

This is a picture of the Halifax river at sunset. We get to see these spectacular sights everyday. Do you ever get the opportunity to see manatees, otters, blue herons, egrets, whales, dolphins, seagulls, gators, deer, and maybe even a sea turtle? You can here. A few years ago my son and I had an otter cross the street in front of our car going from one canal to another while we were driving through the loop. The loop is a twenty-six mile circle (loop), and about half of it is the essence of old Florida. The wildlife is amazing, and you are just minutes from your home.

Well, I hope this made you want to come and see what Ormond Beach is all about!!

THE Ormond Beach Real Estate & Community Events blog. By Lisa C. Hill, "THE SMART CHOICE!"

It's been a while since I blogged about the Daytona Beach area cultural scene, and I think it's time I got back to it. This post is about the Surf Exhibit that is currently on display at the Ormond Beach Memorial Art Museum. (The link to the display will change with each exhibit)

This exhibit's featured artists are...surfer

Also on display in this exhibit, you'll find some rare photos, uncovered by the Volusia County Beach Services. These fascinating pieces of history depict the earliest decades of life guards on our beaches.

During this exhibit, food and refreshments will be served for a small fee, and if you own a local business, you may want to sponsor a portion of this event.

There are MANY other happenings during this unique Surf Exhibit, which runs through August 3, 2008, and I encourage you to visit the Ormond Beach Memorial Art Museum site for more information. But I'd like to draw your attention to one more aspect of this exhibit, which is sponsored by one of my personal favorite causes here in Volusia. The sponsor is the Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet, which I have blogged about many times! Feel free to take a little side-step and read those posts...

But back to the Ormond Memorial Art Museum's, Surf's Up Exhibition. The museum hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admittance for students and children is free, and a donation of $2.00 is suggested for adults. The museum is located at 73 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL. For more information, you may call 386-676-3347.

I hope you enjoy the Surf Exhibit and don't forget, it only runs through August 3rd! But there will be more upcoming exhibits as well. Keep checking back and I'll keep you posted on the many different types of cultural, family and just plain fun events that are frequently occurring all over Volusia County.

Staging Job UPDATED and finished

Virginia Tatseos : Home Stager in Bloomfield Township, MI

My Uncle passed away in Ormond Beach in February.

I did a post on that earlier.

My sister and I arrived there as soon as we could to say our good-bys and do the family thing of looking for photos, memories and papers.

A month later we learned:

Much to our surprise, we inherited the house because my brothers & sisters & I are the closets living relatives.

This "forced" us to go to Ormond Beach again prepare the house.

Those of you who follow my posts know that I specialize in Estate work here in Michigan.  The process usually takes a few weeks with my team to organize, have an estate sale or donate to charity and prepare the house by staging.

This time, we had to look for all the items that a PR looks for, donate, clean and stage in ONE week. We intended to hire out the cleaning and staging.  The reason we didn't is a long story and would be one whole posting.

My uncle was a bachelor again since 1992 and the house showed it.  His touches were evident.

Here are my "before' and "after" photos of my uncle's Florida home

The cost of purchased staging materials was $200
