Old Marsh is an exclusive enclave of about 140 executive homes in western Palm Beach Gardens with a magnificent golf course and country club. The community is located along Jog Road just north of Hood Road.

There are currently 16 homes for sale in Old Marsh, both resales and new construction, ranging in price from $1,299,000 for a four bedroom, three bath home up to $5,400,000 for a five bedroom, seven bath mansion.

Old Marsh Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens has that elegant old world feel with large modern homes on well landscaped lots.

With just 160 homes in the neighborhood, not all of which have been built as yet, Old Marsh is one of the smallest country club communities in Palm Beach Gardens. The Pete Dye designed golf course features "no tee times" and caddies for those who chose to walk. Membership in the club is $140,000 with annual fees of $14,750.

There are both sprawling one story homes and stately two story homes in Old Marsh. Many will have golf course views, but if they don't back onto the course, they will have preserve or natural marsh views. At the end of March, 2010 there were 15 homes on the market in Old Marsh ranging in price from $1,350,000 for a 3931 square foot, four bedroom, three bath home to $4,595,000 for a four bedroom, five bath, 6943 square foot home.

Sales activity in Old Marsh increased significantly in 2009, with seven homes sold, compared with 2008 when just two sold. In 2010, three homes sold during the first quarter of the year.

Prices fluctuate wildly in Old Marsh, in part because of how small the community is and in part because one high or low sale price can distort the whole picture. With that in mind, the two homes that sold in 2008 averaged $457.5 per square foot, the seven homes selling in 2009 averaged $385 per square foot and the three homes that sold through the first quarter of 2010 average $259 per square foot.
