PALM CITY, FLORIDA...PARTY TIME ON THE FARM IN PALM CITY FARMS

Carol Barron-Cross, Equestrian Real Estate Specialist: Real Estate Agent in Palm City, FL

There are not many times one gets bored in Palm City Farms. There are so many family things to do. One fun event was when we invited friends and neighbors to a big party to celebrate just a good time. We decided to bring in all kinds of entertainment for small children. This beautiful Clydsdale came to our farm for this event and we hauled everyone up and down our street until late in the evening. The children just loved it. We had pony rides for the little ones and individual riders took their horses on separate paths. Some fished in our lake and others just listened to the band. This is just an example of the great family life that one has in this little place called Palm City Farm, Florida. We are all lucky enough to have land large enough to have country living and our equestrian farms. Palm City's equestrian community is growing everyday. We just have so much to offer. We have Old Florida living.

PALM CITY'S HORSE TALK....EQUESTRIAN LIVING IS ENJOYING LIFE WITH FRIENDS

There are many things to do in Florida. One favorite thing I enjoy is having a big "Get Together" party of friends and neighbors. It is always fun to bring in a local band, have ponies available for children to ride. Don't leave out the adults because trail riding is after lunch. This is one of the gatherings that we had for a friend that was approaching his 40th birthday. This little girl had a ball riding Duchess.

PALM CITY, FLORIDA,TRAIL RIDING IN PALM CITY FARMS, FLORIDA

If you are lucky enough to visit Palm City, Florida and come to the Palm City Farms area, you will see country style living in its finest. There are horse farms, large, medium, and mini farms available in this neighborhood. Palm City Farms is the Wellington of West Palm Beach. We are very proud of our equestrian area and try to keep it OLD FLORIDA as much as we can. We have the help of our Martin County Commission that protects us from becoming an overgrown area.

Everyday as I drive in and out of Palm City Farms, I pass children and adults enjoying their horses trail riding. It is a common thing to see a Martin County sign with a horse on it stating "SHARE THE ROAD". There are not many places that people can live to be free and enjoy equestrian activities as we do in Palm City.

PALM CITYS HORSE TALK presents JOHN WAYNE, a yearling and in competition at the AMERICAN WARMBLOOD SOCIETY JUDGING.

My last article brought you an ariticle about windswept legs that can happening in breeding horses. That article was all about John Wayne and his struggle to make it after birth. I ran across this picture of John Wayne being judged and later getting a ribbon from the American WarmBlood Society. This horse remained a stallion as long as he lived on our farm. I hope you enjoy seeing what patience, TLC, and a lot of prayers can do. He was really a sweetheart.

John Wayne

This next photo is John Wayne when he was born. By the way, the night before John Wayne was born, I watched the biography of the actor, John Wayne, and that is how he got his name.

Windswept legs

It is amazing but he really recovered about 95%.

He would never be a top breeding stallion but was
