Longwood Run, Sarasota, Florida
Longwood Run is one of those tucked away neighborhoods that not many people know about; but once they do, it becomes a favorite place to consider purchasing their Sarasota homes.
Just off University Parkway, Longwood Run is in close proximity to all the shopping and dining that is springing up up and down the corridor. Yet although located just off the main road, it exists in a different world. The winding road quickly gives way to tree-lined quiet streets.
The homes in Longwood Run were built primarily in the 90s, and they sit on manicured lots. Many of the homes are on preserve areas or lakes. The neighborhood seems to be a favorite for dog owners, as it is a highly walkable area. Longwood Run has single family homes and maintenance free villas; most are either 2/2 or 3/2 in floor plan.
Although the neighborhood does not have its own facilities for recreation, it is located across the road from the Longwood Run Athletic Club. This club offers significant discounts for residents of Longwood Run. Longwood has 18 tennis courts, with evening play available on 11 lit courts.

A recreational pool and pool house, children’s play area, and picnic area round out the outside amenities. Inside a 2,500 square foot fitness center contains free weights, Hammer Strength and Paramount machines as well as a bank of cardio machines. A multi-function fitness room offers fitness classes, including yoga, stretch and core & strength fusion classes.

As another great option in Sarasota real estate, if that were not enough, Longwood Run County Park is also located inside the neighborhood, and offers walking trails, playgrounds, tennis and community events.
