Royal Palm Harbor, Siesta Key, Sarasota, Florida
Siesta Key real estate is defined by private enclaves and tucked away streets that give way to awesome water views. Royal Palm Harbor is no exception. Located just east of the Midnight Pass/Beach Road split, Royal Palm Harbor is nearly invisible from the street. The community consists of just two narrow roads, in some cases it is impossible for two cars to pass one another. However, these are two of the most beautiful streets in Sarasota, with low overhanging tropical foliage, old growth trees and glorious shade.
The homes in Royal Palm Harbor, like many places on Siesta Key, range from old time beach cottages to modern, huge estate homes. However ,this dichotomy seems less glaring than in other places, due to the lush landscaping that effectively buffers one property from another. Smaller homes tend to be on the interior of the neighborhood, as one would expect - and the end of the street is home to grand properties with sweeping bay views out their back door.
The neighborhood is located ideally mid-island, allowing residents to go either north or south to the mainland. This neighborhood is also a 10 minute walk or 3 minute bike ride to the expansive white sand beaches of famous Siesta Key, allowing for the best of both worlds - a lush tropical paradise home within minutes of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Siesta Key Village is a quick 2 miles away, and life, as they say, is good here.
