One of the few remaining homes designed by famed architect Maurice Fatio sold in the Sunset Islands of Miami Beach. The 11,388 square feet home was owned by avid art collector George Lindemann Jr. who purchased Villa Tranquilla in 2000 for $8.425 million. Built in 1936, the home had been on the market for approximately two years before it sold recently for $19.8 million.
Fatio moved to Palm Beach from New York in 1925, after he was named the most popular architect in NY. His Mediterranean-style houses were very well known during his lifetime and include many estates in Palm Beach and Miami Beach, as well as the home of David Rockefeller in New York.
As residents Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova will tell you, there are many more luxury homes for sale on the exclusive Sunset Islands. Contact me to take a look at Sunset Island listings today.
