Lowry Park is a subdivision of affordably priced single family homes. The homes are located in central Tampa. Many of the homes in Lory Park were originally built in the 1950's. Lowry Park is very convenient to Interstate 275, downtown Tampa, USF, and hospitals! Great schools. It is also close to Lowry Park Zoo.

Animal Coalition of Tampa (ACT) a non profit group is sponsoring a Stride for Strays on October 11, 2008. Stride for Strays is ACT's major fund raiser each year. The funds raised from this event will be used to help fund the spaying or neutering of animals at the Tampa clinic. Last year, more than 5,000 cats and dogs were spayed or neutered.

Last year, over 600 dogs took their favorite person for a stroll and raised over $47,000. This year the goal is to raise $70,000. The $70,000 is to be used to assist the clinic in continuing its mission: To eliminate the killing of adoptable animals in Hillsborough County. Last year over 40,000 cats and dogs were euthanized in Hillsborough County alone.

For more information on how to register and gather donations, call ACT at 813-250-3900 or visit them on the web at www.stride.acttampa.org. Hope to see you at Lowry Park on October 11 at 9 AM!
