Update on Sunset Vista, a direct beachfront Treasure island condo hotel.
Most people know Sunset vistas as a great waterfront rental and vacation place but roughly 200 people have bought a condo here on the Gulf of Mexico in Treasure Island as a real estate investment property.
I do not know how familiar you are with the condotel concept but in short, it allows you to rent your condo on a daily base and make a lot of rental income but does not allow you to homestead it or live in it permanently. So this concept of a "Condotel "or "Condo Hotel" is a great idea for a lot of people who always wanted to own a property right on the water but could not justify the cost of the luxury.
Who does not dream about waking up to the sound of waves, seeing a sunset very night, go swimming in the ocean, lay in the sun, taking long walks on the beach, watch the dolphins play.... You get the picture. This is something we all dream about but unfortunately it is expensive and not everybody can afford it. Waterfront condo complexes like Sunset Vistas, South Beach, and Island Inn offer a unique alternative for a lot of buyers. You own your condo outright but at the same time you have the opportunity to make good money with rental income. Since we are not talking about long term rentals but daily or weekly rentals, you can have the best of both worlds , use it for your own pleasure and your own vacation and also rent it out. If you want to buy one of the condo hotel units you need to make sure you understand the restriction and also get a rental history.
