Yes, it's almost sweet corn time.... If you're not from around these parts (like me), you're probably thinking "What the heck is sweet corn?" (as I did the first year I lived down this way).  Simply put- you got it- it's some corn that's sweet.  Once you've had some, the next question you'll be asking is "Where the heck can I get some of this sweet corn?" (as I did).  Here's your answer...from the only place you can get Zellwood Sweet Corn- Scott's Country Market at Long & Scott farms.

Did you know...?

• Long & Scott's is the only farm left that still grows Zellwood Sweet Corn
• Scott's Zellwood Sweet Corn is available only at Scott's Country Market, special local produce markets, in gourmet food stores or shipped directly to your home to guarantee freshness and convenience
• Long & Scott's owns the trademark to the name - "Scott's Zellwood Sweet Corn"  If it doesn't say Scott's Zellwood Sweet Corn, it's not the REAL Zellwood sweet corn

The Whistle Stop Restaurant and Lounge is located in Zellwood, Florida near Apopka. This wonderful Todaro family owned restaurant is situated on a golf course in Zellwood Station and is open to the public. The Todaro Family took over The Whistle Stop Restaurant and Lounge in late 2008. James and Falen Todaro have over 25 years of combined restaurant experience. Chef James graduated from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island where he worked his way through restaurants such as Disney's Swan and Dolphin and The Breakers in Palm Beach. Always wanting to run his own restaurant, The Whistle Stop Restaurant was the perfect opportunity.

The other half of this restaurant is held up by Chef James' wife, Falen, who runs the front of the house. On most days she's behind the full service bar whipping out drinks to golfers and bar regulars.
