The Crooked Creek Golf Club was recently purchased by Affiniti Golf Partners - Their website is http://www.affinitigolf.com. This golf management company was also the owner/management company for the Alpharetta Country Club located just a few miles from Crooked Creek.
Affiniti has joined the memberships of the two clubs together and renamed the two facilities to now be called the Alpharetta Athletic Club or "AAC" for short and now calls Crooked Creek the "East Course" and the old Alpharetta Country Club the "West Course"
This is all a little confusing since the club is actually located in Milton, GA which is a new city that was unincorporated Fulton County with an Alpharetta address. (the city sits on the northern border of Alpharetta, GA and is 40,000+ acres with a population of roughly 22,000 people) Many of the folks who live in the new city of Milton would prefer the new club be called the "Milton Athletic Club" instead and rumor has it that a possible name change is being considered. I'll talk more about the City of Milton in a future blog.
If you know anyone looking to buy a home in the area and they are looking for a golf membership the AAC is a great option. The facilities are nice and the old Crooked Creek Golf Course is one of the finest for the money in Georgia. The new owners have already spend a bunch of money adding all new golf carts, many new flat panel TV's throught the club and giving the exterior of the Clubhouse a much needed face lift.
For more information on the AAC and Crooked Creek - please visit my website dedicated to the Crooked Creek Community at www.crookedcreekhomesales.com. the Crooked Creek Community HOA has recently voted to spend $4,000,000.00 to update their community amenity facilities and to also potentially gate the community with 24 hour manned gates. More on that in a future blog as well.
