One of the like totally cool things about blogs, social media and all is the ability it gives us to connect with each other! Not always on a personal, one-to-one basis, but we connect. We do get the opportunity to take these connections and move them off-line and make them personal.
I've had the pleasure of doing that with people I've met from Active Rain, Twitter and Facebook. Facebook has even helped me find long, lost friends!
But another thing we can do, is share things we might not otherwise be able to share. For example, take a tour of Midtown Atlanta Real Estate Atlanta from your Midtown Atlanta REALTOR! This is where I work and where I call home!

Yesterday, I received some very sad news.
A dear, but distant friend, Spencer Yu passed away suddenly while on an Atlantis Cruise in Mexico.
I met Spencer several years ago, and while we had not seen each other in person for several years,
his zest for life could bring a smile to anyone's face. Or, all you had to do was look at him. Always a smile!
Spencer, my friend, I will miss you dearly.
The Good Lord has his plans, many of which we do not understand. It seems you left us far too soon, but we must have faith that the Lord needed you for bigger plans.
I know you danced your way through the Gates of Heaven, and you will be dancing there at the Gates when the day comes we can once again dance till the sun comes up.
God Bless you my friend. I love you. Now. And Forever.

For You Spencer, I know your Heart will Go On and On.....

Fest of Ales and Scarecrows in the Garden - An annual fall tradition, Scarecrows in the Garden showcases dozens of scarecrows stuffed by local organizations, businesses and individuals. Scarecrows are displayed throughout Southern Seasons Garden and Children's Garden along with wonderful and creative seasonal decorations.

Last Year we attended the Scarecrows in the Garden event at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. There was great live music, cool things to see and cold beverages. It's back again and this Thursday night October 29, 2009 seems like the night to be there from 5 to 10 p.m.

Tickets are $15 each and free for members of the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is pretty big considering it's location in midtown Atlanta. GA. Its 30 acres and located next to Piedmont Park. 1345 Piedmont Ave NE Atlanta, GA 30309-3366. This event is just another reason why Atlanta GA is a great place to live.
If you are thinking of buying or selling real estate in or around Atlanta, GA contact Realtor Jen Bowman, Broker Associate & e-PRO with Success Realty at 404-456-5024. If you are a real estate agent, I am also looking for people to join my team.

Yep! You heard it hear first! The Thom and Ray Team Is Moving! We are not changing brokerages. Just our physical office is moving. I've got some mixed feelings.....
Currently we are right on Peachtree Street, also known as the Midtown Mile! The goal is for it to one day be like the Miracle Mile of Chicago. So, I wonder if we should be leaving? But economics does play a part. I learned that our lease was actually up in August, and our current landlord seems to think he has the tiger by the tail!
Yet, there is one space vacant in the building where we are, and I won't even start on the retail space available in Viewpoint Midtown or Spire Midtown. He just did not want to budge on the price I guess. So, our new offices will be twice as large as we have now, and about half the price!
I'm hoping to get back in the space and take more before pictures, and then pictures once the space is completed and share it with you! But, the space was previously occupied by a company that sold and installed office furniture systems, and they left all of it behind. So, we have some really cool looking cubicles for offices, and I picked a premium one that is wood, and in a corner with a huge window right by it! So, watch for that video in the future. But, until then...we're going from...
To......
Morris & Raper InTown will take over the entire first floor of this building, at 181 14th Street! So, everything you see behind the columns and arch will be our offices!
The Thom And Ray Team Is Moving! You could almost say "on up!"
I'm excited about a new enviroment! I'm hoping it, along with a new Business Plan will send 2010 and
The Thom And Ray Team on to new heights!
Stay Tuned for more details, pictures and video!
