Haunted House Coming to the Old Fort Sorghum

in downtown Blairsville, GA for four consecutive nights from October 28th through October 31, 2011. Come on out for lots of fun, adventure and a little spookiness ( but not too much, so that it can be enjoyed by all).

Admission will be $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for students. Hotdogs, pizza and drinks will be available for sale.

Lots of games and activities for the kids, plus a bonfire and marshmellow roasting.

Sorghum Festival In Blairsville Georgia

If you’re planning a visit to the mountains in October to see the colors of the changing leaves then you’ll want to plan some time to visit the Sorghum Festival In Blairsville Georgia.

Held each year on the 2nd and 3rd weekends in October the festival celebrates - what else - Sorghum Syrup! The Blairsville Jaycees grow and harvest the sugar cane and strip, grind and boil it right at the festival. Once the juice is boiled down and strained into the final product it is bottled and sold at the festival. It doesn’t get much fresher than that.

This years festival will be held on October 8-9 and October 15-16 at Meeks Park in Blairsville, Georgia. Activities include games, music, square dancing, food, fun, arts, crafts - you name it. Entrance into the Sorghum Festival In Blairsville, Georgia is $2 per person. Check the FESTIVAL SCHEDULE to make sure you don’t miss any of your favorite activities.
