Chateau Elan Netowrking Elites BNI group has become the premiere group in the Chateau Elan area located in Braselton, GA. BNI, like the chamber of commerce has a 60 second commercial or elevator pitch or spotlight presentation.

Most new networkers have never done one and, although I am completely biased, I think we have some of the best.

Ask anyone who lives in the area what's Braselton, known for, it's always, ROAD ATLANTA. If you ask any racing enthusiast, what is Braselton, GA known for, it's ... ROAD ATLANTA.

Sure, Chateau Elan is here, but outside the lavish setting, the wine really "ain't" all that great.... or so I'm told.

So it make sense that Hyundai would choose this location to shoot the new commercial for the Genesis.

"For one thing the topography of the track is incredible," said Patricia Romero, Hyundai's national advertising manager. "There's a lot of turns, hairpin turns, hills --- you can really show it off. There's a lot of landscape to choose from."

The commercial will air early 2009, with sales in Spring.

The 7th Annual It's A Wonderful House Tour of Homes offers a spectacular look into three of the most exquisite homes in the Chateau Élan community. Each home is fully and professionally decorated for the holidays and staffed with hostesses to welcome each and every visitor. Shuttles to the tour homes depart the Chateau Élan Winery approximately every 15 minutes and transport the tour guests to each of the homes on tour. In addition to the decorated homes, the tour also includes the Silver Sleigh Café and Corner Shoppe.

The designer showhouse will be open the following weekend, November 28-30, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. for an encore presentation.

Tour tickets are $25 each, and all proceeds benefit The Gwinnett Children's Shelter. The Gwinnett Children's Shelter is a private, nonprofit organization that provides for the needs of abused and abandoned children in our community. Through the Tour of Homes, the Chateau Élan homeowners are opening their homes to the public while opening their hearts to children in need.

Awful cold...

7 AM - Preparing for BNI Meeting: Chateau Elan Networking Elites - A network meeting where people pass referrals to one another.

Mainly my goals today are to make all my meetings be productive. I'm going to monitor my e-mail but my call list doesn't have anyone on it.

8:00 AM - Leaving for the meeting, I have a new 60 second presentation utilizing the letter "M"

8:15 AM - I'm there with about 10 others getting ready to start.

8:30 AM - People are sitting, it's not netSIT so I am getting them up to WORK.

8:45 AM - Kicking the meeting off! About 45 people here. I'm sick and I notice that people notice, gotta bring more energy! Good morning Sales Team!!!!

9:35 AM - Tony Erwin gives us 10 minutes of what he does... very cool guy.

10:05 AM - Meeting over a little bit late but it's always good.

10:40 AM - Meeting with a printer to talk about some big marketing plans. Very productive meeting, some creative ideas passed that actually improve the product and save money!

1:00 PM - Meeting with Doug Duffee, Sugarhill Collision, Paint and Body shop - Very interesting person, has made millions and lost millions. Runs an interesting shop. We'll be networking. Who knows the possibilities, unless you explore them.

2:15 PM - Rushing home to call an executive at a well known company.

3:00 PM - On the phone with someone with "executive power" as he put it.

3:30 PM - Very good phone call, he helped point me in the right directions, "You need a more concise sales pitch." I love being critiqued! It helps me improve.

4:00 PM - Off to play golf! HR Director, Staffing Agent are part of the foursome, we're walking 9.

My score was so bad I won't post it here. I did par a hole though!
