This Atlanta foreclosure made me grab the cam for a couple of reasons. Looking at the home, it was interesting to see how vegetation has encroached on and into the structure – the front entrance is completely blocked, the rear facade has shrubbery right on it and there were good sized plants growing in the gutters – not the usual weeds occasionally seen. There was evidence of rodent infestation, easy to see why.
The kitchen has been removed; completely. The vandalism was thorough and comprehensive; most windows were broken or completely removed, bathrooms were smashed and the rest of the home had the expected ancillary damage. Toppers on this one are the power lines and location in close proximity to the take off lanes of Atlanta Hartsfield airport.
Oh, did I mention the bags of, well.....you'll see.

I am a firm believer that the real estate market is nothing more than supply and demand. When the demand for homes goes down because buyers can not get financing, then the the months supply of homes goes up because less people can purchase the homes on the market. I just checked the Alpharetta months supply of homes on the market at the end of January (primarily North Fulton areas 13 & 14) and the months supply of homes is at 6 months - around 5 - 6 months is considered a stable market. I think once the supply of homes stabilizes then we will start to get price appreciate instead of the price decreases. I also think a key element in the return of the real estate market is the unemployment rate - which decreased considerably in December. I think as long as the unemployment rate improves then consumer confidence will improve and then we will have more demand for homes - I still think we are 2-3 years away from getting back to a "normal" market -

This Thursday, December 22nd, World Changers Church International in College Park will be hosting its annual Toy Giveaway. Toys and donations were being accepted up until today, and now the all of the wrapping and preparation is being completed. This annual Christmas event is very much appreciated by the College Park community. Children who might not otherwise have a present or gift for Christmas are receiving some very special presents.
The event is part of the regular help that World Changers Church International provides to those less fortunate in the College Park Community. The church regularly partners with the local Kroger and Walmart to collect for items. And there is a team that takes the collections, organizes them into boxed sets and get them out to families in need throughout the year.
