The Douglas County BOC will conduct a Public Hearing during its regularly scheduled Commission meeting of Tuesday, August 5th, at

10 a.m. in Citizen's Hall of the Douglas County Courthouse to consider amending Douglas County Ordinance Article V, Traffic

Regulations, Section 14074, Speed Limits, and submit new and revised reduced school speed zones permits to the Georgia

Department of Transportation and the Georgia Department of Public Safety for the use of speed detection devices on State, County,

and City roadways. The Public is invited and encouraged to participate in this Public Hearing.

The Douglas County School System's Registration Center is open year-round to register all new and returning students to the Douglas

County School System. The Center is open daily from 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., and 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Parents must register at the

Registration Center before a student is enrolled in their home school. Registrations will also be taken on Saturday, July 19th, from 8:30

a.m. - 12:00 noon in the Board Room of the Board of Education Central Office Building..
