I started selling Real Estate in Warner Robins GA in August of 2005 and December 2008 was the busiest month I ever had. I had 4 homes Pending in December and January 2009 is busier than last month. I haven't sold 4 homes yet this month, only 1 so far but I've been busy showing customers homes and working with customers on listing homes in Warner Robins almost every day this month. I've been going to work early in the morning and getting off late at night each and every day this month. Interest rates have been extremely low and this could be some of the reason for the increase in business. Another reason could be the large number of good deals available and the large number of homes to choose from right now. I've also been increasing my search engine rankings and working on getting more exposure for my listings on Google, Yahoo, MSN, blogging, and social networking. So I wanted to Blog about the increase in real estate activity in the Warner Robins area and say 2009 is looking really good for buying and selling homes in Warner Robins Georgia.

Warner Robins High School student council collects dresses to make prom dreams come true.
There are so many formal parties and usually a girl wears a particular dress once. It makes sense to make those little-worn dresses available to high school girls who might not want to pay a few hundred dollars for a dress that they will only wear once. That's why the Warner Robins HS student council collects new and nearly new formal dresses to be sold in the annual Demon Dress Drive.
Once the dresses are collected, they are sold at Warner Robins High School at the Rockin' R Cafe. This years event was held on January 31st. All proceeds from the sale of the dresses was donated to Joanna McAfee Childhood Cancer Foundation.
Thanks to our sponsors, Sharing Elegance, Strato Menswear, Flint Energies and Americom Realty, and many others. Mrs. Hillard and Student council wish to thank all who made this year such a success! They sold twice as many dresses as they did in 2008!

The Houston county real estate market saw a lot of changes in 2008. We certainly saw less closings, fewer buyers and lower incomes for some real estate professionals. Some of our local companies closed up. Some agents gave up their licenses. Others just went broke. May and June were the busiest months. We closed slightly over 200 homes each of those 2 months. December was the slowest, though not dead. We still managed to close 120 homes for December. All together, the entire CGMLS closed a total of........... 2 0 0 8 single family detached homes in 2008!!! This was all for single family detached homes in all counties the Central Georgia MLS covers. The most homes sold was not in any subdivision. But when looking at subdivisions, the most turnover was in Eagle Springs subdivision in Centerville. There are a total of 11 separate "sub-divisions" in this complex. But the most popular (the most sold homes in 2008) is the Grove Pointe subdivision. We closed a total of 39 in Eagle Springs, with 21 being in Grove Pointe. After Eagle Springs in popularity comes The Arbors in Byron. These homes were built between 2006 and 2008. We sold 27 homes there in all of 2008. There is a tie for third place between Rose Hill and Kensington. Both are very popular subdivisions. Fourth place is Southfield Plantation in Bonaire, fifth place goes to Bridlewood in Bonaire, and sixth place is Pembroke. More details on each of these subdivisions at a later date. Happy New Year!!

Once more our little town of Warner Robins Georgia has made the front page news. Yesterday evening it was decided unanimously that Warner Robins would be the new South East regional headquarters for Little League!

This is impressive news following upon Business Week naming Warner Robins as one of the best places to raise your kids.
Below is an excerpt from the press announcement from the Warner Robins Little League website.
With back-to-back world champions and a strong passion for Little League, I cannot imagine a better place than Georgia for the Southeast Region Headquarters," Gov. Perdue said. "Little League is a great program that I was proud to be a part of during my youth, and we will be honored to host the regional playoffs each year as the Southeast representative to the Little League World Series is determined. Little League is a world-class organization and I am proud to welcome them to Georgia."
the entire article can be found at
This is definitley something for us to be proud of since our boys showed such great sportsmanship to the young men from Japan in the final playoffs of 2007. I must say that at the end of that game I had tears in my eyes. I have known many of these young man and have watched them grow during our time here in Georgia and it was a very humbling moment when our boys went and hugged the young boys from Japan. It's what we as parents hope to install in our children and that game showed that many parents and coaches had met the mark.
So once more our small town is brought into the headlines and with this honor we will be forced to improve what many of us feel is already a great sports program. An interesting fact that the above article stated is
Little League Baseball and Softball is the world's largest organized youth sports program, with more than 2.6 million players and 1 million volunteers in every U.S. state and 75 other countries.
I must say that I had no clue that the sport was that huge. That even makes it bigger news when you recognize those facts.
So if you are ever in our area please don't hesitate to pull off I-75 and check out our little news worthy town. You know you will always be welcomed! Have a great day!
