In April 2009 the Jackson County, GA real estate market resumed it's positive trend. April marks four out of the last five months of increasing home sales in the county. The average number of Days on Market (D.O.M.) showed a good 5 day decline.

The negative side is that the average and median sales prices have fallen 3.4% and 2.5% respectively. This decline might be attributed to an increasing number of first time home buyers entering the market and geting the $8000 tax credit. It is almost certainly contributed to by the number of foreclosure which are accounting for almost 1/2 of the residential sales.

The number of pending sales, at the end of April, for Jackson County was 38.

Residential sales includes single family homes, duplexes & triplexes, condos, townhomes, mobile and manufactured homes.
