Movies at the Galleria is a free family movie, popcorn, and parking every Thursday night. This fun event has been going on since May 26th (and will go until August 11th, 2011) at dusk (around 8:30pm) at “The Gardens” in The Cobb Galleria Centre. Yes, the popcorn and parking is free! Just bring your blankets and drinks. They have capacity for 2,000 people, so invite your friends!

These movies were picked because you’ve never seen these movies with your kids before. Single adults welcome too! Come enjoy them, again, for the first time.

The Cobb County Department of Transportation, along with the Cumberland Community Improvement District (CID) is hosting a public meeting from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce located at 240 Interstate North Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339.

The purpose of this meeting is to present the results of the design charrettes conducted as part of the Cumberland Transit Oriented Development (TOD) study, which is currently underway.

A variety of maps, plans and other project information will be available for review beginning at 6:00 p.m. A brief presentation, including an overview of the project, will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by an open house where participants can review the TOD plans and provide input to the design team.

The Family Festival is the Official Race Expo for the U.S. 10K Classic and is free to the public. The Family Festival is located at the Galleria Gardens on Saturday, September 4 (10 a.m. until 6 p.m.) and Sunday, September 5 (noon until 5:00 p.m.).

The Family Festival is the last chance for registered runners to pick up their race packets and timing chips. Registration is also available for those who want to sign-up (there is no race-day registration or packet pick-up). Race staff will be on-hand to assist with Customer Service solutions.

In addition to serving as a one-stop-shop for all of your race needs, the Festival also features an
