Active Rain is the most effective social media platform that I know. It is a nice benefit to be able to write posts and have people read and comment on them. And it is nice to begin to develop friendships from those posts. Many people are getting referrals from other agents that will provide them extra income. There is a lot to be said for the benefits of Active Rain.
My second platform for social media is Facebook. I love to read updates from people I know and see new ideas from people I don't know. Facebook is constantly changing and evolving with new ideas. Lately, the timeline has sprung up as a Facebook addition. I just added mine today. Still trying to navigate and find things, but overall it looks pretty nice.
I have a business page that I started a while back but did not keep up. I am now wanting to generate more activity and post more often to it. Snellville contains two public parks Briscoe Park, with a 1.2-mile walking/jogging trail, lighted tennis courts, soccer fields, outdoor basketball courts, a swimming pool, two playgrounds and picnic pavilion. Yesterday, as I was taking a driving around Snellville I noticed something very interesting. What was it you ask? What I noticed was that subdivisions which were once sitting dormant with no activity were once again showing signs of life. Builders are building again, no longer are the vacant lots sitting with tall bushes. Here are some pictures I took while I was out.
At Tuscan Ridge I noticed that there was a new foundation poured for a basement lot, I noticed several lots with under contract signs, a few lots with available signs and even construction workers working.

Lately we’ve all heard the good reports from the media about housing and employment and some think it’s all just fluff, but for me when I see the new construction that’s a sign that something positive is happening.

The market is changing and prices will begin to increase, so if you are planning to buy a home, I hope you realize you don’t have time to wait anymore.
