Plans for the Ronald Reagan Extension are moving forward. At a recent meeting on January 11, plans were discussed including feasibility maps and also a possible no build if all of the analysis proved there to be a fatal flaw.

Among the things considered were the congestion already known to be in the area. Also, some of the unknowns are the funding for the project. There is talk that a toll may be considered, but again all of this is very preliminary as the planning stages are not close to completion.

One of the goals is to possibly integrate the extension with the highway 85 HOV and HOT Lanes project. The project would reduce congestion, mobility times and air quality.
