Here are some great things to do in and around Snellvile, Georgia.

1. Visit one of the many parks. There is Ronald Reagan Park, complete with dog walk, walking path, skateboarding area, play ground and grills. Briscoe Park is even larger as is Lenora Park.

2. Enjoy many of the cultural events. There is the New London Theatre Group and the Aurora Theatre group that are very close to Snellville.

3. The Taste of Brookwood and South Gwinnett offers you samples of some of the finest restaurants in the area as well as a silent auction with proceeds benefiting the school.

4. Shiloh, Brookwood or South Gwinnett Band, Orchestra, Drama or Choral concerts. All have great fine arts programs. You will have a hard time believing these are students performing.

5. Great dining. Restaurants like Ted's Montana Grill (Eco Friendly), Lavender Chinese (upscale Thai/Chinese), Provinos (free meal on your b-day) as well as your typical chains (Applebees, Chilis, Macaroni Grill etc)

6. Snellville Daze is a great festival that features live music, parades, and much more.

7. July 4th Fireworks in nearby downtown Lawrenceville

8. Vines Botanical Gardens in Grayson.

9. Fine dining at the Vines and Grayson House.

10. Carmike Theatres offers first run movies

11. Churches are everywhere. You have your pick of many. Several bring in music acts, guest preachers, etc.

My wife and I are expecting another bundle of joy. Along with that also comes the cravings that she has. Yesterday, she was craving pizza. I went online and ordered. As a side note, Papa John's has online coupons- certainly better for the environment than paper coupons. You just click on the coupon and add it to your cart. It couldn't have been easier.

When I went to go pick the pizza up, I noticed that there was a new whole wheat crust that they had just come out with. I had decided to not order my pizza with that because I didn't want to do anyting new with my wife being pregnant. I inquired about the new crust and the girl behind the counter had said it was good and that they had been giving out samples the previous week. At this point, I almost placed an order of breadsticks just to try the new crust.

What then happened was unexpected. She offered to make me a sample of some breadsticks with the new crust. Not only that, she threw in a sample of their new desserts. When I say sample, she gave us an entire order of breadsticks plus 2 samples of each of their new desserts.

What is the point to all this- this young lady went out of her way to make me feel like the most important customer that they have ever had. She did the unexpected. Because of this experience, you know that the next time we have a pizza craving, I will go back to that Papa John's. Not only that, I am writing a blog now to let the whole world know of this incredible experience.

My goal is to go out of my way to ensure that all of my clients feel like I felt yesterday at Papa John's. In case you want to go there, it is the Papa John's near Five Forks and Oak.

Havenstone is one of east Gwinnetts premier communities. It is a gated communitiy with an average listing price of $587,000 for current homes for sale, it certainly is a neighborhood of prestige.
