Some may tend to believe that Real Estate talk means only short sales, buyers, sellers, loans and so forth. I'm a Real Estate Industry Professional but I'm darn sure human. And that means I can adjust my thinking and my attitude to any market, conversation, challenge because I AM a chameleon.
Being a chameleon means I can adapt to my surroundings.
Regardless of where I am ....when it comes to ‘All Things Real Estate'..... I can take into consideration what real estate means at any given place and time. While blogging on ActiveRain, I grasped the concept that ‘All Things Real Estate' meant to write about ‘All Things Real Estate' too.
Open your mind to the possibilities of what "All Things Real Estate" really means.
My Local Area: No matter what branch of the Real Estate Industry we are directly connected with our communities, counties and state and everything happening in our area. We have to have knowledge about the businesses, events, history, neighborhoods and more. We need to know where to direct the consumer when they want to know where the elementary school is in conjunction with the geographical location of the home they're thinking of purchasing. What about the local restaurants and the gym?
Yes, it's a lot of work to research and write about our local area but in the end.....
I AM THE AREA EXPERT.
I opened my mind to grasp the concept that ‘All Things Real Estate' went beyond the scope of just Real Estate knowledge. It meant that I had to know more about everything and anything in my area. It meant that I needed to get more educated on not just Real Estate...but my local area of expertise.
Are you adapting like a chameleon with "All Things Real Estate"?
Are you the LOCAL EXPERT?

North Shore Dining
When your ready to venture away from the Beach Villas at Ko Olina head to the North Shore or Haleiwa, my home town. Here, stop at Kua Aina's for a Mahi Mahi burger, my wife loves their burgers. They also have hamburgers but we never order them. I get mine with Ortega Chilies on it. Delish! Kua Aina Burgers
For desert, stop at Matsumoto's for a Shaved Ice. I have great childhood memories of my mom rewarding me with a shave ice after my haircut across the street, the barber shop is now a dress shop. My favorite flavors are li hing mui, lychee & lilikoi (passionfruit). Matsumoto's Shave Ice
The best Mexican Restaurant on the Island is also in Haleiwa, they have good margaritas also. Good local vibe. After lunch, continue on around and stop at Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach, Pipeline, all at the Northern tip of the Island. Great waves, great surfing, check the water and see what everyone is doing before swimming. In the summer, Waimea is as flat as glass, in the winter up to 40 foot waves. Cholo's Mexican Restaurant
Further around in Kahuku are the famous shrimp trucks, on one of your treks out, you have to stop here for lunch. The shrimp are grown in ponds right outside the shanty's or trucks. Giovanni's is the original. There are many more since then. The Polynesian Cultural Center is also over here in Laie. Think Epcot of the Pacific Island Nations. Good visit and a good show to end your day. The shrimp trucks have also expanded into Haleiwa.

The crab in the picture had a little too much sun and got cooked right there on the rock!
Sharks Cove is a giant reef located on the North Shore of the island of Oahu and a great place for snorkeling & scuba diving. The crystal clear water depicts the awesome views of marine life in their natural environment that you are bound to see under the surface of the ocean.
With Spring already here and Summer approaching, this is the best time to snorkel as the waters are calm. (unlike during the winter when the waves go up and over the rocks) At the end of the reef the ocean drops off to about 25 feet.
Tip: Wear shoes! The rock and coral formations are definitley hard on the tootsies! Watch out for the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles (endangered species) and White Tipped Reef Sharks.

Picture above was taken in November of 2007 at Sharks Cove. (Kathy McGraw came to visit :) What a difference between Winter Swells and Spring Calm waters :)

With our warm tropical island weather and outstanding scenic views Hawaii is THE choice spot for a Hawaii Relocation. With the Hawaii Military Relocation, the Hawaii Retiree and the Hawaii Job Transfer at some point they all consider buying a condo or home on beachfront property. It's the dream come true, right?
Ah...the famous North Shore of Oahu where the beaches are gorgeous and the famous surfing competitions commence every winter. Sun, surf, sand, mountains mean coastal and country living at its best!
Historic Haleiwa Town is one of the towns on the North Shore that has everything from historic landmarks like the Heiau's (ancient Hawaiian temples) to shopping malls, shops, oceanfront restaurants, surf shops, scuba lessons. sky diving, fishing, boat harbor, community centers and more!
One thing you should know about the island of Oahu. Our island (Honolulu Country) is so densely populated that the next town can be smack next to each other. The North Shore IS made up of the following towns: Waialua, Mokuleia (Dillingham Air Field), Haleiwa, Waimea, Paalaakai (in Wailua area), and Kawailoa (where Laniakea Beach - Turtle Beach is).
Keeping all of this in mind.......
