The waves tomorrow will make the events scheduled for The Reef Hawaiian competition which begins today a real challenge for competitors and a thrill for spectators.

November through March is the big surfing season on Oahu , Hawai'i's North Shore . The North Shore is internationally famous in the surfing community because of its huge waves, during these months, known as the Pipeline.

The best surfers from around the world are here on the North Shore for the surfing competitions that are being held this week through December.

• The Reef Hawaiian Pro competition is held in Haleiwa, November 12 - 23.
• The 34th Annual O'Neill World Cup competitions is scheduled for November 24 - December 6 at Sunset Beach
• The 14th Annual Roxy Pro, an all woman's competition, will be held November 24 - December 6 at Sunset Beach .
• The 38th Annual Billabong Pipeline Masters is scheduled for December 8 - December 20 and will be held at the Ehukai Beach Park

The surfing competitions are as exciting for those watching from the shore as for those participating. There is no video, movie, website or any media format that can bring the thrill and the terror that comes with surfing and watching surfers master the Pipeline. It is something that you can only experience and it can only be experienced on the North Shore of paradise, Oahu , Hawai'i .
