Kailua-Kona Neighborhood Tour - Kona Vistas

The Kona Vistas subdivision in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii is built on the Western flank of Mt. Hualalai. Home and lot elevations range from about 400 to 700 feet above sea level. Many of the homes in Kona Vistas have amazing, panoramic ocean views, swimming pools and tropical landscaping.

Kona Vistas was developed in two phases. Phase one consists of custom and developer built homes and phase two has lots and custom homes with lot sizes ranging from 15,000 square feet to 1/2 acre. The streets are wide and without sidewalks, all utilities are underground and there are streetlights. Residents of Kona Vistas have access to two tennis courts a recreation center and pavillion.

Kona Vistas is located about 2 miles South of historic Kailua Village. People familiar with Kona real estate know that the steep elevation changes of the area create many different climate zones. It can be 80 degrees at the coast and just 2 miles up the hill at 600 feet elevation, it can be 78 with a nice ocean breeze. Kona Vistas enjoys a very sunny and comfortable climate zone.

Within the Kona Vistas is a gated 8 home enclave called Pualani Terrace. This development has single family homes that share some common areas. Pualani terrace homes were built by the same developer and most have unique floorplans. These homes are part of the Kona Vistas association and share use of the tennis courts and recreation center.
