Keauhou Kona shoreline on the Big Island of Hawaii

We are over on the Big Island of Hawaii for a few days of relaxation, staying in the Keauhou Kona area along the south coast. It's quite warm here with daytime temperatures in the 80's, and no real breeze to speak of. Though it's beautiful and calm we kind of miss our Haiku Maui home with the cooling trade winds and gentle rain showers.

Sure, real estate prices are lower here, but you get what you pay for. We saw some of those super-low priced lots in Mountain View on the Hilo side... No thanks! Vog, bog and frogs!

While it's nice to get away, it's even better to come home, especially if your home is on Maui. Maui No Ka Oi.
