The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Kapalua Bay: Rentals Now Available

Where can I find a rental at the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Kapalua Bay? I've noticed that this is one of the most searched topics on my website, so I thought I'd look into it. The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Kapalua Bay: A Market Update

The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences, Kapalua Bay opened its doors on May 31, 2009. The property consists of 84 wholly owned residences and 64 fractional residences. Several owners and guests of the Club Residences have already stayed at Maui's newest Luxury Resort property.

The first closings of the wholly owned residences are anticipated later this month. As it's now possible to get a sense of the views and interior space, we are beginning to see an increase in activity in residence sales activity. Today, it was announced today that two of the Residences were put under reservation: 1202 and 2303 are both the three bedroom floorplan with a study. These reservations follow on the heels of 1403 which sold a few weeks ago.

Last night, the Ritz-Carlton Club, Kapalua Bay welcomed its first guests.

While I'd been on several construction tours over the past few years, I took the opportunity to walk through the property last night, seeing it all for the first time. Flowing rivers line the walkway to the lobby, and the sound of waterfalls greet you. As I entered, I was struck by the view that captures the best of Kapalua: a tropical landscape, leading to Kapalua Bay, framed by the neighboring islands of Molokai and Lanai.

As I walked through the meandering pool area, I passed over bridges, waterfalls and grottos. The first guests were sitting at the outdoor pool bar, watching the sunset and clearly enjoying being the first to experience the Kapalua Resort's newest luxury community.

The wholly owned Ritz-Carlton Residences will begin closing shortly, and the newly decorated model should be open in time for the Kapalua Wine and Food Festival, held this June. Comprised of spacious three and four bedroom floorplans, these are amongst the largest oceanfront condominium residences in the Kapalua Resort.

I had the opportunity to tour the Kapalua Resort's newest luxury condominium residences with clients just this last week. It's exciting to see the progress of the Residences, as the grounds begin to take shape and the final finishes are being put on each residence.

For those that had trouble visualising the layout, it's now possible to get a true sense of the floorplans. Each gracious three and four bedroom residence is oriented to capture the view. Spacious great rooms and lanais promise to be the highlight of the residences, whether looking out to Kapalua Bay or to Molokai.

Of the remaining developer residences, one of my personal favorites is 2503. This three bedroom features a den, and along with a top floor location, vaulted ceilings. In addition, this is one of the few residences with views toward Kapalua Bay and the coastline beyond, as well as out north to the Plantation Course and Honolua Bay.

The pool area is spectacular-a lagoon like setting surrounded by tropical gardens and the original palm trees from the Kapalua Bay Hotel.

This latest aerial was taken over this past weekend, and shows the Residences in the foreground. In the upper left corner is the Kapalua Spa. Well underway, the 30,000 square foot spa will open some time this summer, providing the resort with new fitness facilities, as well as the ultimate in luxurious spa treatments. Created for Kapalua Club members as well as owners of the Residences, this latest amenity promises to be a great enhancement to the Kapalua Resort.

On Monday, I had the opportunity to make a site visit to the Kapalua Resort's newest community, the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Kapalua Bay.

Construction is nearing completion, and it is estimated that this new resort will open on May 31, 2009. Approximately 40% sold out, this unique property consists of 84 whole ownership residences and 62 fractional Ritz-Carlton Club residences. Residences range from $3,885,000 to $9,395,000.

It was about four in the afternoon, when construction ends for the day--the view is directly toward the sunset, so please forgive the glare in the photos.

Taken from 2503, this is a view of his is the pool area, with Kapalua Bay and building one in the background. They've put the palm trees back in--they were originally on the Bay Hotel grounds and have been in safe keeping all this time. The restaurant will be to the left.

Building five has terrific views, and with the lowest prices, it's a sleeper!

From the fifth floor of building five, I was able to take a photo of the neighboring Kapalua Spa. The spa will open this summer, and we are all looking forward to this new amenity in the resort.
