Water Issues - Testing of the Maui Land & Pineapple's Piiholo well in Olinda
failed to produce enough water to meet the requirements of the Maui County
Water Director. The well produced a yield of 1.2 million gallons of water
per day, but failed to show the well could sustain pumping at that rate. If
the well could produce water at that rate, an agreement to turn the well
over to the County might go forward. More testing may be required.
