We are experiencing a Kona Storm in Hawaii right now. What this is, is a storm that developes out of the south west, and brings strong winds and rain. For Maui, sometimes this can be worst than a hurricane, being we never get hit by hurricanes. Winds can get up to 80 miles an hour.

So this morning I left the Northshore of Maui. I live in Haiku, and drove to Wailea to work. This morning as I was driving pass Hookipa Beach Park, I had to pull over and take some pictures. I love rainbows when they are going off. So here is some shots I took this morning.

So I jumped back in my car and was heading towards Paia town. As I was passing Mama's Fish House, I had to pull over it was just stunning. So here are a few shots at Mama's.

So I jumped back into my car and headed to work. As I was passing Baldwin Beach, I had to pull over. It was a full rainbow, and just beautiful. There is something about the beauty of rainbows, you never get tired of rainbows. To me it's the hand of God painting the sky. So here are a few photos of Baldwin Beach.

As I was driving away the storm started to set in, and now it is raining all over the island. Tomorrow will be another day, The winds will back off and it will be a beautiful weekend. Winter has finally arrived on Maui. In Haiku it has been raining buckets, and the plants are loving it. I had some down time today and went out in the rain and was just enjoying working in the garden. I could feel everything growing. Driving to Wailea office, it has been over cast, and raining today. A sign of winter is the sugar cane flowering, which it does this time of year. All the fields are top off flowering in the cane fields.

Paia Town on the north shore has been busy. With wintry rainy days, people are looking for something to do. They have been flocking to Paia Town. Some of my favorite restaurants like Paia Fishmarket, Cafe Des Ames, and Flatbread has just been packed. People like flatbread with the organic Kahlua pig pizza, my favorite. They also have great draft beer if you like beer.

The last few days have been cold. I have been getting up early and surfing Hookipa before work. The water has been cool and most surfers have been putting on light wetsuits. Today was just to windy and rainy. So even with the weather, everyone has been making the most on Maui. So if you are looking for Maui real estate on Maui's North shore. Go to Northshore Maui

Besides the new Letarte boutique, Paia has some other exciting changes.
There's now a pharmacy, the only one in Paia, right on Hana Highway where
Nagata Store used to be. The Maui Crafts Guild has relocated from the edge
of town, to a nice brightly painted store in the old Quinsaat Building.
Honolua Surf is located right in the heart of town, at the intersection.
The Morning Glories Internet Cafe is under new management and things are
