Generally January is the month when I ask myself what made me think relocating to Iowa was a good idea. That's every year except this year that is! Today I took time out from my market reports and spent some time out in the sunshine. Brown Deer Golf Course in Coralville is a two minute drive from where I live and I figured I'd be sure to find some golfers out in this 50 something degree weather today. I did run into someone leaving the golf course when I took this shot, but other than that I struck out with that idea. I enjoyed the sunshine nonetheless. I'm starting to wonder whether winter is going to show up at all this year in Iowa. Although I should maybe keep my mouth shut or I could jinx it!

Summer is on its way out and things are winding down for me after my busiest year in real estate to date. Time now for me to share some of the photos I took of neighborhoods I visited with folks relocating to the Iowa City area these last few months. I'll start with the Brown Deer Neighborhood. Oddly enough, Brown Deer is less than five minutes from where I live and yet it hasn't gotten much airplay in my blog. It's time to rectify that! The Brown Deer Neighborhood is one of the premier neighborhoods in Coralville with many of the homes there boasting views of the spectacular Brown Deer Golf Course. The Brown Deer Neighborhood is north of Holiday Rd and is on the north east side of Coralville. As you can imagine, with a golf course right in the heart of it there's a lot of green around. The price range you're looking at for single family homes in the Brown Deer Neighborhood is in the $300,000 range all the way up to $950,000.
What makes the Brown Deer Neighborhood so unique is it's perfect location, right in the heart of Coralville, surrounded by rolling hills and greenery. And yet as secluded as some parts of the Brown Deer Neighborhood are, there is easy access to everything you could possibly need in the way of amenities. Elementary age children in the area attend Wickham Elementary School on Oakdale Blvd. Via Holiday Rd or Oakdale Blvd there's easy access to I-80 at the 1st Ave exit/entrance. Coral Ridge Mall is just a couple of miles away. Coralville Public Library and the newly opened Coralville Center for the Performing Arts are just a few minutes away. The list goes on...
If you're relocating to Iowa then Coralville should definitely be on your list of towns to explore. And if you're looking for a special and unique neighborhood you may want to take a closer look at the Brown Deer Neighborhood. If you're looking for an agent who knows her Coralville neighborhoods and is ready to help you find the right home to fit your lifestyle, then give me a call...
