The temperatures are definitely dropping and the snow is not far behind ( I hope).

Follow these Home Winterizing Tips.

Winter Birdhouse in Garden Valley

  1. Everything and anything that is sitting outside must be stored away. Otherwise, make a map of it’s location in case you need to dig it out from under the snow.
  2. Disconnect hoses from all hose bibs and bury hydrants.
  3. Blow out sprinklers
  4. Stack a weeks worth of firewood in close proximity to the house. Keep the bulk of your firewood away from the siding and out from under overhangs of your home. Stacked wood can attract insects and rodents.
  5. Clean your chimney
  6. Ask Marsha, at the Trading Post, when she expects her next order of grain scoops. Garden Valley snow shovelThey are the best shovels for our snow type. Buy one now before the rush.
  7. Mount snow removal attachments on trucks and tractors or contract with a local snow removal service.

  9. Close foundation vents
  10. Insulate any pipes that may be exposed or that are running through unheated spaces in the house.
  11. Check batteries in smoke detectors.
  12. Prune away any tree branches or shrubs that will get in the way of shovel.

Bonus Tip!

Get out the snow shoes and the sunscreen!

The Wildflowers have arrived at Southfork Landing

As I pulled into Southfork Landing today in Garden Valley, Idaho I was thrilled to see that the wildflowers have arrived.

I work in the Southfork Landing community on the Real Estate Sales team In the Garden Valley area of Boise county, Idaho. This is an incredible development that has over 60% of the project designated as open space. As you can see Southfork Landing Garden Valley, IDaho has some amazingly beautiful views. From Southfork Landing I can twirl in circles and the views never end!!

Today I got the real estate sales office open and I decided to go for a walk so that I could check out all the wildflowers.
. This is the first creek I came to right outside my office door. Somedays I sit on the porch of the Southfork Landing sales office and just listen to the peaceful creek sounds, and take in the amazing views of Garden Valley. Today all those views have wildflowers in them.

Wildflowers, Wildflowers, Wildflowers, Wildflowers, Wildflowers every where I went!!! Aren't they beautiful!

.... the Wildflowers are all over Southfork Landing and now is the perfect time to come see them!

Checkout the duck who was enjoying the sunshine and taking a swim in the pond. The fish should be arriving any day, there will be fly fishing for the real estate owners in the ponds behind their properties.

Next weekend the PRE will be held here at Southfork Landing. This is an event that should not be missed! Fly fishing, Skeet shooting and many White Water events. June 19, 20 and 21st.... hope to see you next weekend here at Southfork Landing. I will be working the day of the PRE so come find me and let me show you the perfect piece of Real Estate here in Garden Valley, Idaho for your next home or weekend get away cabin.

Spring in Garden Valley, IDaho

Spring in Garden Valley, Idaho

I am currently sitting outside on this magnificent spring day in Garden Valley, Idaho. The mountains all around me have beautiful white snow on their peaks. The sun is shining warm and bright and after a long winter it feels so good on my face.
I started the day working with Real Estate clients who want to buy a cabin in Garden Valley , Idaho together to create family memories. We looked at several properties trying to find that perfect piece of Real Estate. We looked at a cabin that had an incredible view of Garden Valley. The families and their kids sat on the deck of the property and enjoyed the swing while taking in the incredible view.
I have to admit, I live down the street from this cabin and as Iwalked outside and took in the view and the sunshine on the deck I was struck with the feeling that I have not stopped to look around me in far to long and appreciate the view from my own property. As we continued looking at Garden Valley Real Estate and Properties I noticed that some of the trees were begining to get leaves. We got to another house that had flowers
blooming in the yard and I could hear the running water of the creek behind the property. All around me the mountains had snow yet here I was standing on Real Estate that had tiny flowers blooming, the sun was shining warm and the running creek sounds were all around me, yet somehow I had failed to notice all of the changes and awakenings that were happening. It is spring in Garden Valley, Idaho.
